FEAR

“What on earth are you afraid of?”

“Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy

that will be for all the people.  For today in the city of David,

a Savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord.” 

(Lk 2:10-11)

 

In medical terms, “fear” is often defined as an unpleasant, often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger, often accompanied by increased autonomic activity (increased heart rate, blood pressure and sweating).  “Anxiety” is defined by an abnormal and overwhelming sense of apprehension and fear often marked by the same physiological signs, by doubt concerning the reality and nature of the threat, and by self-doubt about one’s capacity to cope with it.  However, “fear” in the most general term as used in the English vernacular, and so often in the multitude of mystical gifts from God the Father, Our Lord Jesus Christ and Our Lady of Emmitsburg through Gianna Talone Sullivan, most often implies anxiety and usually loss of courage.  The moral evaluation of anxiety begins with the exercise of prudence, to discover if there are valid grounds for the apprehension.  If there are not, to act on the anxiety or fail to act because of it would be a lack of trusting God’s Providence.

The Fear of the Immensity of the Mission

 

 

C.  THE MISSION FOR THE CHURCH

 

"Then the dragon stood before the woman about to give birth,

to devour her child when she gave birth.  She gave birth to a son,

 a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod.

Her child was caught up to God and His Throne." 

(Rev12:4-6)

 

In 2003, Our Lord Himself appeared to Gianna on one of only a few occasions over the last 20 years, and spoke of the mission as it relates to the Church:

 

"I bless you because I have chosen you.  You know My Father because you know Me.  I can tell you that I came into the world for a Mission, one of salvation.  You came into the world for a mission, one of My Mercy.  Your mission is also for the entire Church.  It is also for world Peace.  I have told you that you have the key to the Kingdom for all children.  Humanity does not realize the importance of children; and because they do not understand the gift of the life of a child and the gift of My Death for all children, which all people are called to be, then they cannot realize the return of the Child in My Most Sacred Presence in the Most Holy Eucharist."  (Private, Our Lord, April 29, 2003)

 

In like manner in 2003, Our Lady of Emmitsburg began to share her concerns related to the modern Church:

 

"There is a tremendous blessing on this mission, this mission which my Son has given to me and which is about to unfold with the hierarchy of the Church, with the hierarchy and leaders of your country, and with the leaders and princes of other countries in the world….But right now, it is my desire to focus on the Church, the Mother Church, which looks to me….Those people who surround many of my priests who are suffering, people who can make a change, must be careful and wise; for now within the Church there is trouble, some deception and misguided leadership, persuasiveness, and enticements toward things other than what my most beloved Pope would have my priests follow."  (Private OLOE. The Feast of the Triumph of the Cross

 

"The message of the Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing;

but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God."

(1 Cor 1:18)

 

On Thursday, September 14, 2000, the Feast of the Triumph of the Cross, one week after the Thursday evening Marian Prayer Group in St. Joseph's Catholic Church had been suspended, local Church officials kept the parish church doors locked the entire day after the AM Mass so that no one, even pilgrims who had traveled great distances not knowing of the suspension, could enter into the Church and privately pray.  Our Lady of Emmitsburg spoke of this several years later in 2006:

 

"This Feast of the Triumph of my Son's Cross has tremendous implications, for this is the day that even my Church closed its doors and locked them here at the Center of my Immaculate Heart.  The very mission given to my daughter involves the Church.  So how important it is that on this day the doors were locked to your Mother's Church."  (Private OLOE, Sept. 14, 2006)   "Remember: My Son was well-known and praised.  He was a great prophet.  He was the Son of the Living God; and in the next moment He was hated, beaten, spat upon, and blasphemed; and then He brutally endured a crucifixion given to the worst of criminals…Then God the Father split the earth, and those who blasphemed Him and those who were so righteous in the Church were faced with the Truth."  (Private OLOE, Sept. 14, 2009)

 

Our Lord Himself in a more recent private message to Gianna spoke of his similar treatment by Church authorities:

 

"When I was given My Cross, for all the way to Mt. Golgotha and even when hanging on a tree, it was the same way.  The Church authorities' purpose was only to make sure I was dead and out of the peoples' sight and mind.  They did not want anything or any person to interrupt their plans.  Others pushed and shoved, said unmerciful comments and laughed at Me.  Life carried on, and suddenly from being their Messiah, their great friend and prophet who met with loud praises of 'Hosanna,' I was nothing but a false prophet--despised!…After that darkness, the brightness of the light is so bright that no one can extinguish it.  Stay true to yourself and your few friends.  Your spouse will protect you as My Mother did for me.  She never left My side." (Private Our Lord, Oct. 20, 2008)

 

"For the sake of the joy that lay before Him,

He endured the Cross, despising its shame,

and has taken His seat at the right of the Throne of God. 

Consider how He endured such opposition from sinners,

In order that you may not grow weary and lose heart."

(Rom 12:2-3)

 

Our Lady has continued to prepare her children for what to expect in their future interactions with Church authorities:

 

"You must be prepared for my Church, prepared more than ever before, in what you are going to say and how you are going to react.  For the challenges with which you will be faced may not be so easy or so consoling.  You must be prepared how you will react to confrontation and how you will confront.  You must be prepared to be confident with filial confidence, not just confidence, prepared to be motivated, to be humble, and to give in your humility ways that will guide them and you to the Truth of my Son.  For discernment of the Truth always lies in discussion on the human level pointed toward the Divine and with the discovery of the unveiling of God's Love and Mercy which will always point to His Truth."    (Private OLOE, Sept. 6, 2003)

 

"What is happening today in the world resembles the tide as it rolls in.  The currents are clashing, rushing upon the shores, causing undertows, and pulling many people out; and many are drowning.  Some are saved through prayer; and some, often many, are not.  My message though is one of Hope, to rally you on to more prayer….But I must also tell you that you are needed in so many ways, and most urgently needed to address the issues with the hierarchy of the Church.  As you do so, prayer is not all that is needed, but I should be so bold as to say that so too is confrontation.  For this, I will be by your side.  This journey is a mission, and I truly will lead and guide you.  My Son too will be there by us; for We will lead together….He shall take the first step, I shall follow, and you are also invited."  (Private OLOE, Aug. 28, 2003)

 

More specifically, Our Lady defines some of the problems that exist within her Church and how She plans to address them:

 

"My Son walks beside those who struggle and by those who are divided; but He cannot walk within them unless they give to Him totally.  This is the current way of the Church; and because of this, my Son walks beside the Church, but not within it."  (Private OLOE, Sept. 11, 2005)    "Today in the Church there is pain and agony in so many priests who began holy and then turned away because of their self-righteousness.  There are also many priests who suffer needlessly and have had pain inflicted upon them by others….But I continue to have hope, and my Son continues to allow me to be here to invite all the Church in all countries to return its focus to His Truth."  (Private OLOE, Aug. 30, 2004)

 

"Rejoice in hope, endure in affliction, persevere in prayer."

(Rom 12:12)

 

Our Lady goes on to compare the Church as it was in the beginning to as it is now, but concludes with a message of hope:

 

"When the Church was born, it was despised, humble and without power or materialism.  Look at the Church now:  power and materialism.  The framework is most glorious, but the interior is dying as in AIDS.  The body looks like any other body, but interiorly it is being destroyed little by little.  There is no room for anything but hope."

 

"The soul of the Church awaits an awakening and enlightenment and the power of God's glory, which can happen through prayer, change, acceptance, surrender and the desire for God's Divine Will….The Church may fall, but it will rise because my Son said it would never be destroyed…..Only those leaders who are pure and are willing to be holy and to guide with courage,  perseverance and vigilance can be the new pillars and the strength of a new Church, Catholic in every way, surrounded and protected by the means designed by God the Father and the Holy Spirit…..Now you must help others.  Help them to endure, to persevere and to look forward to something which no human being has ever seen in all of humanity.  You can do it if you pray, if you remain faithful, if you live within the Sacraments, and if you maintain solitude desiring intimacy with God."  (Private OLOE, Dec. 1, 2005)

 

Our Lady of Emmitsburg also uses some of the same descriptions as she did in Akita, Japan, on October 13, 1973: "Cardinals opposing Cardinals, Bishops against other Bishops" in describing the state of affairs within her Church:

 

"Mother Church is in tremendous turmoil and in danger….Cardinals are against Cardinals, Bishops against Bishops….Power and materialism are becoming the main stream, and administrative ways have taken the place of the holiness and the humility that are needed in the hierarchy in order for them to discern and to make use of God's graces.  Today, more bishops than ever before in the history of my Son's Reign are losing their faith and souls because their agenda is one that they desire, not one that God has invited them to listen and respond to." 

 

"Only those who are of the same esteem, prestige and power are now able to speak on a level to which they will listen; and only a few blessed souls created from Heaven will respond to my invitation.  You are invited because God loves you….You can help me make a new way for all of humanity."  (Private OLOE, Nov. 12, 2006)

 

Our Lady certainly loves her Church, the Church of her Son, the Body of Christ.  At times it seems that the Church is numb to any of the supernatural charisms which God has provided to His children.  The balance between ecclesiastical authority and charismatic grace seems to be severely shifted to the side of the Law rather than that of the Spirit.  However, in a surprising declaration, Our Lady of Emmitsburg states that it is She who is the target, she who is being sought out to destroy, not the prophets themselves:

 

"I have a Plan, and in a loving way as a Mother, I must reveal it while yet protecting this Church.  You may seem to be the target; but ultimately, I am the one, I am the one who is being sought out to devour and destroy….What is being revealed is the Truth.  Those who desire to deceive God become entrapped within their own ways, and in the end all are exposed."  ((Private OLOE, Feb. 14, 2006) "The battle in the Church is mine.  You as servants must not take on the pain of it,; but you as servants, who have been elevated to ambassadors, will rejoice in the joy and glory of it."  ((Private OLOE. Dec. 2, 2003)  "I am so very much present, and it sorrows me that Mother Church would love to preserve the prophets of the past, and yet not recognize my presence and my Son's words through the prophets of today.  If this world and this current generation were living fully the words of the past prophets, there would be no need for the prophets today."  (Private OLOE, Dec. 32, 2007) "But that is the way of the world, and in God's time, those who think they know it all and have made a mockery of my Son--whether clergy, religious or laity, or others in authority in the Church--all will know what they did, what they didn't do, what they could have done, what would have happened if they had said 'yes,' and how God will overcome it all."  (Private OLOE, Dec. 26, 2009)

 

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing,

so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." 

(Rom 15:13)

 

So as if providing final battle instructions before sending her army into war, Our Lady of Emmitsburg exclaims:

 

"So go forth valiantly with the Gift of the Holy Spirit, like crashing waves!…The more you do not give up and that you show the authorities of my Church that this is real, the more relentless they may be; but you will keep going and going and going forth, prodded by the Holy Spirit, until they will look again and see the great fruits and the Joy and the Peace with which God has blessed them here….So respond and move valiantly, like a surge of wind….If you do this, surely the Church can no longer be silent on the topic."  (Private OLOE, May 31, 2009)

 

Several years earlier while visiting St. Dominic's Basilica in Siena, Italy, St. Catherine spoke to Gianna:

 

St. Catherine said "to do everything the Lord asks of you," and "how important it was to remain little and of no importance in the eyes of the world, because the great works of mercy would definitely flow through you; and at that time, whenever God so desired, the entire world would know God had chosen a little, ordinary child to defeat the works of evil."  I asked her, "Why me out of all the people in the world;" and St. Catherine said, "Because it had to be a child from America, for there is greater evil in America than anywhere in the world."  (St. Catherine of Siena to Gianna, June 2, 1999)

 

While is Assisi in Nov, 2007, St. Clare reassured Gianna:

 

"If our Mother said your faith will change the world, then as my faith changed the loaves**, yours also will be fulfilled in her telling (prophetic words)….If you were told by Catherine of Siena that your mission with the Church would be fulfilled, then it will….There are many holy saints in the world, all with a special mission--some recognized by the Church, and some not.  Our Savior knows.  That is all that matters….He desires you to be the voice of the ordinary people."  (St. Clare of Assisi to Gianna, Nov. 20, 2007),

Center of the Immaculate Heart

 

Our Lady first referred to the Emmitsburg region as the Center of her Immaculate Heart on November 3, 1994, and over the years she has further described what that means:

 

"Bless you, little ones, on this day that my Son has allowed me to come to you and to this Center of my Immaculate Heart."  (Public OLOE, Nov. 3, 1994)   "This place is the haven of life because it is the Center of my Immaculate Heart where all children seek refuge.  It will withstand the attacks from evil because I am here with my Child Jesus."  (Public OLOE, Mar. 9, 1995)   "The refuge of my Immaculate Heart is for all people, but the Center of my Immaculate Heart can only be a place where the community reflects the purity, joy, love and mercy of Jesus."  (Public OLOE, April 6, 2000)  "This holy place in Emmitsburg, the Center of My Immaculate Heart, will be a living realization of the Gospel.  My Immaculate Heart and the Eucharistic Heart of My Son are inseparably united in the plan of salvation" (Public OLOE, May 11, 2000) "This is the place where my Son's Divine Mercy will be unveiled.  In the Name of the Child Jesus I place the seal of protection against evil upon your souls, sanctified for my Son's glorious reign.  All hearts must be purged of iniquity and renewed in His Love."  (Public OLOE, Oct. 21, 1999)  "It is my Son as the Child Jesus who will usher in this new era of peace…..It is not the end of the world as you know it…At the end of the world my Son, the righteous glorified Savior, will come as your Just judge."  (Public OLOE, Sept. 30, 1999)  "But Jesus will come a second time and reign….It will not be His final judgment and coming, for this next era will be the Covenant of our Two Hearts, a spiritual Eucharistic Reign where the Child Jesus will usher in a kingdom of peace…For it is the Child Jesus who represents hope and life for all children of the world."

 

 

MORE DETAILS OF THIS MISSION

 

And Mary said:

"….Behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed. 

The Mighty one has done great things for me, and holy is His Name…."

(Lk 1:48-49)

 

So what else does this mission deal with besides the aspects directed toward the poor and ordinary?   Our Lady has gradually filled in the details over time:

 

"This mission is one which gives God great glory….You must reconcile yourself with the Lord and come to me at this moment as I await you with open arms.  You must give to me all of your heart unconditionally with total filial confidence, trusting that I will not mislead you and that I will only take you on the safest road for the glory of God….This mission has to do with my most Immaculate Heart.  It is in my most Immaculate Heart that the Word became Flesh.  It is there He came to be one with humanity, as Flesh, as Man, as Son of Man….This mission has to do with God Himself, with what has to occur within nations for peace to exist, and with the next era of my Son Jesus in a spiritual Eucharistic Reign.  People do not realize that there is an era of peace coming; however, many shall be lost.  At this time, 80% of this world shall be lost and killed if they do not accept what is coming before this peaceful tomorrow."  (Private OLOE, Aug. 31, 2003)

 

"I have commissioned you from God above to move forward, to proclaim His Word, and to fulfill the Mission of His Mercy.  When His Divine Mercy is unveiled, it will entail the entire world; and as His Divine Mercy commences, it will be unveiled here at the Center of my Immaculate Heart….Initially this community will need to be one of purity and joy and peace before His Divine mercy can commence here.  It will involve everyone who has chosen to walk away from Him or be indifferent and those who have been fearful.  But eventually glorious works and Peace shall come.  A new springtime of grace and hope shall arise."  (Private OLOE, Sept. 22, 2003)

 

"But when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?"

(Lk 18:8)

 

It was first in April, 2005, that Our Lady asked that a Foundation be developed here at the Center of her Immaculate Heart.  One month later, on May 21, 2005, she expressed her joy when the invitation was accepted.  It had been in 1989 that Our Lord had first expressed His desire to Gianna in relation to His Mission of Mercy, "to begin slow, and then metastasize across the whole world."  This instruction had never been fully understood.  It seemed both impractical and impossible to think Our Lord could be speaking of the mobile healthcare ministry of Mission of Mercy metastasizing across the world.  However, now with this Foundation, and the website which would subsequently develop from it, the Words of God the Father, the Lessons of Our Lord and the Messages of Our Lady of Emmitsburg, have metastasized across the world to people in over 160 nations and all 50 states in the United States; and Our Lord's Mission of Mercy continues to envelop the whole world.  Our Lady has graciously responded:

 

"I am so grateful to all of you for your unconditional; yes, to my invitation to my Foundation.  This Foundation belongs to God the Father.  The title of the Foundation is to be "The Foundation of the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary."  I, a beloved and most humble servant of God, the  Spouse of the Holy Spirit, obeyed God the Father; and now, as an open  vessel, just as you too are, I desire the world to know the "Words of God the Father."  The mission of this Foundation of God the Father is to promulgate the Father's messages and the truth of my Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart; the Truth in which you shall see Our Two Hearts, my Son's and my own, formed into One, where the Crown of Thorns and the sword that pierced my Heart shall become the Crown of Glory."   (Private OLOE, May 21, 2005)  "The Foundation should be able to notify people all over the world via the many communications systems in place today so that all may know the Truth, the circumstances of my appearances, my messages and their meaning, my invitation and the purpose of my Center." (Private OLOE, April 10, 2005)

 

Although the Foundation is made up of hundreds of members throughout the world, Our Lady outlined only a few who would have a more visible and public face. Although this mission requires many commanders, ambassadors and pillars of Light, in the early days of the Foundation, Our Lady referred Peter Blanchard and Prof. Courtenay Bartholomew, MD, as two who would have specific roles:

 

First, to Peter Blanchard, an electrical engineer for a multi-national hi-tech firm and a student of history, the most public of the Board Directors of the Foundation, Our Lady of Emmitsburg has spoken:

 

"You have tremendous wisdom and prudence, so you know how to discern what to say and when to say it.  Your silence has protected you against evil.  Now you can come to the plate in being my 'commander.'"  (Private OLOE, June 8, 2002)

 

"My dear Commander, you must lead.  More than anyone, you must be at peace and know that I your Mother will direct you.  You must have the air of a commander, one of gentleness, one of filial confidence, one of commitment, and one of tremendous focus." (Private OLOE, Oct. 4, 2003)

 

Then for Prof. Courtenay Bartholomew, MD, of Trinidad-Tobago, West Indies, a noted scientific HIV/Aids Researcher and Marian scholar and author who serves as Ambassador-at-Large for the Foundation, Our Lady has outlined a role, integrating both his scientific as well as his orthodox Roman Catholic and Marian theology:

First, to Prof. Bartholomew Our Lady said: 

 

"I need you; for without you the world would not know the truth of my Immaculate Heart….This is your opportunity to speak of this the Center of my Immaculate Heart, the truth of it.  I need you to be a warrior against heretics and those who mock this family."  (Private OLOE, June 8, 2002)

 

And about him She continued:

"My beloved Ambassador shall defend me as he always does.  He is of the caliber that he can meet one on one each argument, even when it comes from the clergy."  (Private OLOE, July 9, 2006)  "He as a scientist is well abreast of scientific matters; but far more than that, he knows how to speak with authority to the hierarchy of the Church.  He should speak about both Marian and theological issues when asked and when necessary.  He is a most necessary figure because of his reputation and credibility within the world."  (Private OLOE, Mar. 17, 2003)  "He has the burden on his shoulders as he carries part of my sword in his heart to ensure that the world knows of the Truth of the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, now here and not leaving, to keep all people safe who seek refuge in it."  (Private OLOE, May 21, 2005)

 

And about Peter Blanchard and Courtenay Bartholomew, as it relates to some of the prophecies regarding possible devastating events, Our Lady of Emmitsburg has expressed:

 

"Someone needs to be able to speak.  I believe it is my Commander and my Ambassador who must be able to--one from the point of view of (physical) science and one from the point of view of engineering (putting scientific knowledge to practical use).  Is it not right that all know the Truth so that they cannot say, "You did not warn us"? (Private OLOE, Mar. 21, 2009)

 

And finally, with Michael Sullivan, MD, Gianna's husband, who serves as an independent contributor to the Foundation and its work, Our Lady shares:

 

"My beloved son, Joseph Michael, you are the glue that holds together the plan; for you have been revealed the plan from your birth through your death and your rebirth.  You must speak in every area what the Holy Spirit has revealed to you where there is something lacking from whoever has spoken. You must support and you must defend.  You must give and you must receive.  You must love, and you must not allow those who are giving to be attacked, abused, or filled with turmoil and tears."  (Private OLOE, Sept, 9, 2003)  "You dedicate yourself and you live your entire life to roll out a carpet for the Divinity, the Triune God, so that my little Child Jesus can bring all of His beloved apostles, ambassadors, commanders and children of Light to the Throne of God the Father."  (Private OLOE, Mar. 4, 2006) 

 

To Gianna Our Lady has confided:

 

"Your husband trusts and believes so much that he has already given his life once and would do so again.  So for you it is simply to receive the words, to be childlike, and not to be concerned or worried about anything; because all will be provided for you."  (Private OLOE. July 9, 2006)

 

"I know your works.  Behold, I have left an open door before you, which no one can close.  You have limited strength; and yet,

 you have kept My Word and have not denied My Name."

(Rev 3:8)

 

 

The Mission: 

No Time for Silence

 

"If anyone wishes to be first,

he shall be the last of all and the servant of all….

Whoever receives one child such as this in My Name, receives Me; and whoever receives Me, receives not Me but the One who sent Me." 

(Mk 9: 34-36)

 

Our Lady of Emmitsburg has for over 20 years laid out her mission, the mission of her Son.  In the process, through a chosen one, Gianna Talone Sullivan, God has communicated to mankind through the Lessons of Our Lord Jesus Christ, through the Messages of Our Lady of Emmitsburg, occasionally through a few of the saints, and finally through the Words of God the Father.  In fact Our Lady of Emmitsburg went so far as to recently explain to Gianna:

 

"Littleness is greatness, and to be great you can be the tiniest atom that hides within my Son's Heart.  There you are protected.  God did not need me, He chose me; and as He does not need anyone, He chooses you.  Why?  Because He loves you in His Plan for the fulfillment of the life and the salvation of humanity." (Private OLOE, Jan. 10, 2010)  "If my Mother Church would only see the good words and sentiment of a most Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, perhaps all could be made anew.  But when my message comes through a human messenger, it is disregarded.  Sadly, even my Son as God came as human, and His message was disregarded.  What makes a message authentic?  If not from God, then from whom?"  (Private OLOE, Feb. 2, 2010)

 

Our Lady has treated her Church, the Church of her Son, with love and respect, but has not shied away from correcting those in the Church hierarchy, the faithful and all of humanity when they were in error or when they sinned by omission.  She has called on every one of her children to defend the Truth at all costs.  As a result of her guidance, it has become quite clear to many of the faithful what is ecclesiastical preference versus what is legitimate ecclesiastical authority to which obedience is proper.  It seems that many in the hierarchy of the Church have made it quite clear that they do not want to deal with the reality of eschatological theology.  That is their preference, but it is not valid grounds for ignoring the Truth; nor is it grounds for implying disobedience when their preference is challenged; nor is it grounds for delivering a severe injustice to the faithful, to the Church and to all humanity.  Only God Himself can and will judge whether an action or inaction was a sin of omission or a severe injustice.  However, in October, 2008, Our Lord Himself affirmed to Gianna that:

 

"The Church has lost her charity! (that is the institutional Church, not the Mystical Body of Christ, the Bride of Christ).  What is forthcoming could have been prevented, but it is through the hands of her own righteous Bishops and Cardinals that what could have been prevented will unfold."  (Our Lord to Gianna, Oct. 22, 2008)

 

This same sentiment regarding "the loss of charity in the Church hierarchy" had been first communicated to Gianna by Our Lord in 1989, when she received 7 of her 9 secrets from Him.  (The remaining two secrets were given to Gianna by Our Lady.)  At Our Lady's request, it was communicated by her spiritual director, the deceased Fr. Our Lady has repeatedly proclaimed, "All are welcome!" and "I am not leaving!"  What is it about what she is saying that you do not understand?  Only God can fully and finally authenticate what Our Lady is doing at the Center of her Immaculate Heart.  Until that time, it all depends on faith!  In concluding, Our Lady summarizes:

 

"Those who are the least shall be the greatest.  With time, Truth shall unfold and all shall know.  Those ambassadors, commanders, and the army of God that have not swayed and have been planted firmly like a tree by a stream, will bear fruits--the Fruits of Love.  Those who have tried to deceive, those who have desired to have the attention, and those who sadly do not know where they belong, will look forward to where they can grasp for healing so that they too can change.  (Private OLOE, June 8, 2005)
