IF NO PRIESTS, NO EUCHARIST;

IF NO EUCHARIST, NO CHURCH!

“…God is the only treasure which ultimately people desire to find in

a priest. People can tell if the words and actions of their pastor

have their origin in his prayer or only at his writing table…."

(Pope Benedict XVI)

The Beautiful Hands of a Priest

We need them in life's early morning,
we need them again at its close;
We feel their warm clasp of friendship,
we seek them when tasting life's woes.
At the altar each day we behold them,
and the hands of a king on his throne
Are not equal to them in their
greatness; their dignity stands all alone;
And when we are tempted and wander
to pathways of shame and sin,
It's the hand of a priest that will absolve
us----not once, but again and again;
And when we are taking life's partner,
other hands may prepare us a feast,
But the hand that will bless and unite
us is the beautiful hand of a priest.
God bless them  and keep them all holy
For the Host which their fingers caress;
When can a poor sinner do better than
to ask Him to guide thee and bless?
When the hour of death comes upon us
may our courage and strength be increased.
By seeing raised over us in anointing the
beautiful hands of a priest!

St. John Vianney’s Incorrupt Heart Begins US Tour

“Essentially the Church in recent months in this country is going through difficult times. The sexual abuse crisis, the clergy sexual abuse, is very much in the headlines and on the hearts of many of the Catholic faithful,” Dominican Father John Paul Walker, the pastor of St. Mary’s, explained. “I felt it important that we as a parish gather together in this way for several days of prayer — to pray for the crisis, to pray for our Church, and to pray for God’s blessings for what we’re going through right now, with a different focus on each night.”

Feast of St. Andrew the Apostle - November 30

"And as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives
opposite the temple area,
Peter, James , John and Andrew
asked him privately,
“Tell us when will this happen,
and what sign will there be
when all these things
are about to come to an end?”

(Mk 13:3-4)

Brief biography...

The Saint Andrew Christmas Novena

While the origins of this prayer are unknown, it is over 100 years old (at least) and may have come from Ireland.  This novena prayer is actually traditionally prayed much longer than nine days—it is prayed through all four weeks of Advent.

It is piously believed that whoever recites the St. Andrew Christmas prayer FIFTEEN times each day from the feast of St. Andrew (November 30th) until Christmas Eve will obtain the favor requested.  (Try 5 times each meal)

St. Andrew Christmas Novena

Hail and blessed be the hour and moment

in which the Son of God was born

of the most pure Virgin Mary,

at midnight, in Bethlehem, in the piercing cold.

In that hour vouchsafe, I beseech Thee, O my God,

to hear my prayer and grant my desires

through the merits of Our Savior Jesus Christ,

and of His blessed Mother. Amen.

What has Our Lord in His Lessons said on the feast St. Andrew's feast?

“…My people should not mistake faith with their feelings. Faith is trusting in the Truth - the Truth that I shall save them and care for them. It is because of evil that My people struggle, not because of Me! They would rather struggle with their worries and problems, instead of having faith in their God. They must surrender and trust and have faith on a day to day basis, not on a time interval of their own choice. If only they would try. It is difficult because My people make it difficult!...” (JOM, Vol I, #12, 11-30-88, Faith)

What has OLOE said on this feast of her Son's Apostle Andrew?

“…Remain faithful at all costs. Never jeopardize your own position with God for anything or anyone. Seek to always live the Truth…. There are so many people running in different directions and never finishing the race, as if in a maze, not able to find the exit; and all could live in peace and tranquility through surrendering and living in the serenity of Christ, in His Will at this moment and forever…. Relinquish your own will. This may seem difficult, but in doing this you will be free. When you are free, you will have in you eternal Joy….” (OLOE Public 11-30-05)

“…The tears of a mother come when she is proud to be called a 'mother'. Her tears come when she sees her children growing, loving and striving to do God's Will. This night the tears I have in my eyes for you are tears of thanksgiving, for I am graced and blessed to be called your Mother…. Whatever the challenges that meet you each day, whether interrelationship-wise, whether health-wise, whether work-wise, or whether family-wise, no challenge is too great for my Son; for all can be perfected in His Love. Receive His grace and His blessing that I give to you in this period of preparation for the Coming of my Son, your Emmanuel….” (OLOE Private 11-30-03)

 The 1st Sunday of Advent - December 2, 2018

In today’s Gospel on this First Sunday of Advent we hear Our Lord warning His disciples of the signs of the times that will assault all humanity and the preparation necessary to escape the imminent tribulations before He returns:

“…When these signs begin to happen,
stand erect and raise your heads
because your redemption is at hand.

“Beware that your hearts do not become drowsy
from carousing and drunkenness
and the anxieties of daily life,
and that day catch you by surprise like a trap.
For that day will assault everyone
who lives on the face of the earth.
Be vigilant at all times
and pray that you have the strength
to escape the tribulations that are imminent
and to stand before the Son of Man.”

(Lk 21:28, 34-36)

So too Our Lady in Emmitsburg prophesy about the signs, the warnings, the  purifications, the triumph and the Truth of the Center of Her Immaculate Heart.  Will you take the time to ponder her words?

Feast of St. Francis Xavier - December 3

Jesuit Missionary, the Apostle of the Indies

for one reason only:
there is nobody
to make them Christian.”

(St. Francis Xavier, 1506-1552)

Brief biography...

Novena of Grace...

Litany of St. Francis Xavier...

What has Our Lord said on the feast of St. Francis Xavier?

“…My children have received many gifts from Me: gifts of Love, strength and faith. It is time that you give to each other the gifts that I have given you. Share your gifts! They were given to you so that they would be shared with others. Pass on the gift of Love, so that those who are searching will be brought home to Me. This is your Lesson on Charity - the giving of gifts I have given you for all My people of this world. Charity is a gift - a gift that combines Love, faith, trust, joy and hope for others. Charity is the gift of giving yourself….” (JOM, Vol I, #13, 12-03-88, Charity)

I AM Your Jesus of Mercy:

What has OLOE said on the feast of her brave Jesuit?

“Too many people today truly are in a maze; and they really are having a difficult time finding the exit, which way to turn. They go up. They go left. They go right. They try every corner. They become frustrated….

“…The world goes on with many people celebrating, partying and giving each other in marriage, and with many new births; and yet, it is just as it was thousands of years ago before the big flood, just as in the time of Noah. People are drinking and enjoying each other's company and social events. They pay little attention to the necessities of their souls: firstly, because they are afraid of what they may have to do to change; and secondly, because too much attention to these matters would mean that they might have to eliminate something else in their lives, something perhaps pleasurable….” (OLOE Private 12-03-05)

Our Lady of Emmitsburg December 3, 2005...

“It is not the actual physical exertion
that counts toward a man's progress,
nor the nature of the task,
but the spirit of faith
with which it is undertaken.”
(St. Francis Xavier 1506-1552)

Feast of St. John Damascene - December 4

Priest and Doctor of the Church (676-749)

Prayer of St. John Damascene

Having confidence in you,
O Mother of God,
I shall be saved.
Being under you protection,
I shall fear nothing.
With your help
I shall give battle to my enemies
and put them to flight
for devotion to you
is an arm of Salvation. Amen.

What has Our Lord said on the feast of St. John Damascene?

“Those who act saintly are not necessarily saints! To be a saint, you must be one from within! If you act as a saint on the surface only, you deprive yourself and others of the treasures of life. Remember, also, that to be a saint does not mean that man will not find error in you. What constitutes sainthood today from your measures is not what constitutes sainthood from the standards of My Father…. Sainthood awaits all who desire it and reflect their love for My Father through genuine humbleness and elimination of self-pride!...” (JOM, Vol II, #23, 12-04-89, Sainthood)

I AM Your Jesus of Mercy:
SAINTHOOD
December 4, 1989...

What has OLOE said on St. John Damascene's feast?

“…Focus, my little ones, with all your hearts; focus on God. Today is a time of great Joy in this season; and yet, there are so many people across the entire world so confused and frustrated, as if in a maze trying to find their way out, looking but not knowing where to turn. So many people are in need of Love, the Love which you have in your hearts. A new tomorrow begins through this Love, and Peace comes through unity, not by trying to destroy those who do good works….” (OLOE Public 12-04-05)

Feast of St. Nicholas - December 6

4th Century Bishop from Asia Minor and Patron of Children

Prayers to St. Nicholas...

On this special day of gift-giving in many places throughout the world, Our Lady of Emmitsburg speaks of the gifts of holiness and grace being offered to all humanity:

“…Be at peace and know that this Advent is a great season of Love, of healing and also of mending ways and changing ideas that once were different in your minds. God is changing all of you and raising you to a new level of holiness and grace…. Do not be concerned in your lives how you would love to be like me. As a person you have to grow. Not all can be like me, only those whom God brings to that level. But there is only one Mother. I am your Mother; and no one can be me or take my place because I am here for you and I guide all of you to my Son, purely, immaculately and with His Divine Love.” (OLOE Private 12-06-04)

Our Lady of Emmitsburg December 6, 2004...

“What a glorious day, a day of sharing and exchanging gifts from God—those of yourselves which are material, and those also which are spiritual…. How wonderful this day to be with you and to take your petitions! ... As I intercede to my Son, He then turns and gives great glory to the Father. Even though my Son can alone do all that He desires because He is One with the Father, because of your human ways and in His most humble Love, He goes with me in times of greatest need to the Father in a different and special way.” (OLOE Private 12-06-07)

Prayer to Save America

During these critical times in U.S. history as well as in salvation history, the Foundation will be including this prayer on all e-newsletters.

O merciful God, we cry to Thee for pardon and for mercy.
We are an unbelieving and perverse generation.
We are disobedient, disloyal and ungrateful to Thee.
We have excluded Thee from our homes, our schools, our places of business.
We are no longer worthy to be called Thy children.
Merciful Father, spare America!
Forgive us!
Save us from the scourge we deserve.
Teach us Thy law, and move our wills to serve Thee today and everyday.
Merciful God, please spare America!
O Immaculate Heart of Mary,
Pray for us!

Evangelization—In the Service of the Transmission of Faith:

That people, who are involved in the service and transmission of faith, may find, in their dialogue with culture, a language suited to the conditions of the present time.

DAILY OFFERING PRAYER - O Jesus, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sin, and the reunion of all Christians. I offer them for the intentions of our bishops and of all Apostles of Prayer, and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father this month.
