Our Lady of America

“Do any of these Bishops believe anymore,

even in the supernatural?”

“I am Our Lady of America.  I desire that my children honor me,

especially by the purity of their lives.”  (Sept. 26, 1956)

I come to you as a last resort….

I plead with you to listen to my voice.

Cleanse your souls in the Precious Blood of my Son.

Live in His Heart, and take me in

that I may teach you to live in great purity of heart….”

(Sept. 27, 1956)

“Our Lady then asked me to draw a picture of her first appearance.  She also requested a statue made according to this likeness and place it, after being solemnly carried n procession, in the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C….”   (Nov. 15, 1956)

The hour grows late

My Son’s patience will not last forever….”

Tell the Bishops of the United States, my loyal sons, of my desires and how I wish them to be carried out….Make known the longings of my Immaculate Heart to establish the reign of my Divine Son in the hearts of men and thus save them from the scourge of heaven, both now and hereafter…..but, ‘Will my loyal sons carry out my desires?’”  (1957-58)

And on July 18, 1959, just a few months before the completion of the National Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC. Our Lady lamented over her priests and religious:

“…How they resist My grace!  O my priests, my religious, what would I not do for you if you would only let me!  I come laden with graces which you daily refuse….How long will you resist my love?  It is from you I expect everything, and you give me but the husks of your affections….O how they fight against my love!  So fearful are they that I will deprive them of their tawdry trinkets that they turn their backs lest they see the reproach in my eyes….”

Novena For Our Nation

The time is now to call upon God, through the powerful intercession of Our Lady of the Rosary, to heal our country and return it to holiness. This is a nationwide prayer campaign called the “Novena for Our Nation.” Everyone from around the nation is encouraged to join ranks as, united, we pray the very powerful 54 Day Rosary Novena from the Feast of the Assumption on August 15 to the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary on October 7. We continue to live in peace-less times with laws and court rulings in conflict with God's laws; especially the disregard for the rights of the unborn, elderly and weak in our society and the attacks on marriage and family values. Society and many levels of government continue to demonstrate intolerance towards biblically based religious belief and practice. In conflict with First Amendment constitutional rights, persecution of traditional religious expression has reached historically high levels. We are in a Spiritual Battle. In this centennial year of the apparitions of Our Lady at Fatima, we are called upon to help turn our country back towards God. We will accomplish that through prayer; prayer that can change hearts, change families, change our communities and change our country. There is no stronger weapon in this Spiritual Battle than the Rosary!

22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time—September 2, 2018

In all both liturgical readings on this 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time, we hear a message of hope based on Truth:

“Now, Israel, hear the statutes and decrees which I am teaching you to observe, that you may live and may inter in and take possession of the land of the Lord, the God of your fathers, is giving you….”  (Deut 4:1-2)

“…He (the Father) will to give us birth by the word of Truth that we may be a kind of first fruits of His creatures….”  (James 1:18)

To ever enjoy the benefits of being the first fruits of His creatures and to take possession of the land of the Lord, we most likely have to grow in the virtue of perseverance.  Let us recall what Our Lord Jesus Christ in His Lessons to the world and Our Lady of Emmitsburg in her Messages have taught us about perseverance in both hope and Truth:

Perseverance Part 2:  In Hope and Truth

Labor Day (USA) - September 3, 2018

This Labor Day seems to be filled with much more anxiety and suffering, not only in the less fortunate countries of the world, but even in the more affluent ones. There also seems to be little success in solving many of the problems which are at the root of the economic turmoil. It appears that both corruption and greed are rampant. Once again, rarely do we see or hear God and Prayer being placed at the front of any plan, but rather hidden in the closet or even kept outside the arena altogether. Please join us this Labor Day as we invoke St. Joseph the Worker to assist all of humanity in seeking its own dignity and giving great glory to God through honest and holy work and employment.

A Prayer for Employment

O God, Father of us all, You bestow on us gifts and talents to develop and use in accord with Your Will and to advance Your Kingdom on earth. Grant to me, through the intercession of St. Joseph, the man chosen by God to care for your Son in His childhood and youth, employment and work that I may with dignity provide for my family. Grant me the opportunities to use my energy and abilities for the good of those who depend upon me for care and support. You placed me in charge of this family. I beseech your assistance in helping me provide for them as You would have me do. You are our God and Head of this family. Amen. (Bishop Joseph. N. Perry)

A Prayer for the Worker

O Glorious St. Joseph, model of all those who are devoted to labor, obtain for me the grace to work conscientiously, putting the call of duty above my natural inclinations, to work with gratitude and joy, in a spirit of penance for the remission of my sins, considering it an honor to employ and develop by means of labor, the gifts received from God, to work with order, peace, moderation and patience, without ever shrinking from weariness and difficulties, to work above all with purity of intention and detachment from self, having always death before my eyes and the account that I must render of time lost, of talents wasted, of good omitted, of vain complacency in success, so fatal to the work of God. All for Jesus, all through Mary, all after thy example, O Patriarch, St. Joseph. Such shall be my watchword in life and in death. (Composed by Pope St. Pius X)

Feast of St. Gregory the Great - September 3

Italian Pope and Doctor of the Church, Patron of Teachers

 (540-604 AD)

“If we knew at what time we were to depart from this world, we would be able to select a season for pleasure and another for repentance. But God, Who has promised pardon to every repentant sinner, has not promised us tomorrow. This very day is a day of truce, a day for conversion. And yet we refuse to cry over the evil we have done! Not only do we not weep for the sins we have committed, we even add to them…. We must not count on ourselves, because even if we know what kind of person we are today, we do not know what we will be tomorrow…. As long as we are still experiencing the uncertainties of this life, we do not know what end may follow.” (Pope St. Gregory the Great, from: Be Friends of God)

What has OLOE said on great St. Gregory's feast?

“…What is now needed is pointed discernment, prayer and action. There needs to be tremendous prudence and wisdom used with the leadership involved so that the many, who are held as victims and are at the mercy of the leaders, will be able to be free. Those people who surround many of my priests who are suffering, people who can make a change, must be careful and wise; for now within the Church there is trouble, some deception and misguided leadership, persuasiveness, and enticements toward things other than what my most beloved Pope would have my priests follow….” (OLOE Private 09-03-03)

Our Lady of Emmitsburg September 3, 2003...

Prayer of St. Gregory: Acclaim to the Suffering Christ...

“…(Our Redeemer) saved us from paying our debts so that they would not keep us in the power of our enemy. The Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, freely yielded for us what He did not owe. For our sakes, He gave the physical death He did not owe to set us free from the spiritual death we did owe….”
(Pope St. Gregory, the Great, 540-604)

Pope Francis’ Homily at Canonization

Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

“…Mother Teresa, in all aspects of her life, was a generous dispenser of divine mercy, making herself available for everyone through her welcome and defense of human life, those unborn and those abandoned and discarded. She was committed to defending life, ceaselessly proclaiming that “the unborn are the weakest, the smallest, the most vulnerable”. She bowed down before those who were spent, left to die on the side of the road, seeing in them their God-given dignity; she made her voice heard before the powers of this world, so that they might recognize their guilt for the crime – the crimes! – of poverty they created….”  (Pope Francis I, Sept. 4, 2016)

Feast of St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta - September 5

“Joy is a net of love
by which you can catch souls.
A joyful heart is the inevitable result
of a heart burning with love.”
(Mother Teresa of Calcutta, 1910-1997)

Few in our lifetime have so touched the world than this little Albanian nun who came to be known as Mother Teresa of Calcutta. On the world stage she embodied the Spirit of Christ as she and her devotees embraced some of the most difficult and distasteful works of mercy with the most precious humility, charity and joy. Please join us as we pray these prayers and this Novena with her and to her during these next few days?

Join us in this Novena to Mother Teresa that the Pro-Life issue remains central in voters’ minds:

Mother Teresa Novena...

“…But I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child, a direct killing of the innocent child, murder by the mother herself…. That father is told that he does not have to take any responsibility at all for the child he has brought into the world…. By abortion, the mother does not learn to love, but kills even her own child to solve her problems…. Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want…. This is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion…. Many people are very, very concerned with the children of India, with the children of Africa where quite a few die of hunger…. These concerns are very good…. But often these same people are not concerned with the millions who are being killed by the deliberate decision of their own mothers. And this is what is the greatest destroyer of peace today - abortion which brings people to such blindness….”
(Mother Teresa of Calcutta, 1910-1997)

Mother Teresa Keynote Address February 3, 1994
National Prayer Breakfast, Washington DC...

"A sacrifice to be real must cost,
must hurt, must empty ourselves."

"The fruit of silence is prayer,
the fruit of prayer is faith,
the fruit of faith is love,
the fruit of love is service,
the fruit of service is peace."
(Mother Teresa of Calcutta)

What has OLOE said on St. Teresa of Calcutta's feast?

“…As I have said, ‘This is my home'; I am not leaving. I am here because this is a gift from my Son, for all the people to come. My Son gives; and He is not going to take away. As He gives, He gives such a beautiful gift because He loves all the people, all the people in the world, His children. So my presence here will not die out, because I am not leaving; and it is my Son's gift for you and for all my children to have…. “ (OLOE Private 09-05-04)

Our Lady of Emmitsburg September 5, 2004...

“It really doesn't matter anymore - the outcomes of authentication of any and all my visionaries and prophets - because God Himself has taken the reins in hand; and everyone will be illuminated to know the Truth…. Woe to those who have desecrated my Son's Most Sacred Heart and my most Immaculate Heart and denied the graces they could have received!...”(OLOE Private 09-05-09)

Marian Prayer of Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Give us a heart as beautiful, pure,
and spotless as yours.
A heart like yours,
so full of love and humility.
May we be able to receive Jesus
as the Bread of Life,
to love Him as you loved Him,
to serve Him under
the mistreated face of the poor.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer to Save America

During these critical times in U.S. history as well as in salvation history, the Foundation will be including this prayer on all e-newsletters.

O merciful God, we cry to Thee for pardon and for mercy.
We are an unbelieving and perverse generation.
We are disobedient, disloyal and ungrateful to Thee.
We have excluded Thee from our homes, our schools, our places of business.
We are no longer worthy to be called Thy children.
Merciful Father, spare America!
Forgive us!
Save us from the scourge we deserve.
Teach us Thy law, and move our wills to serve Thee today and everyday.
Merciful God, please spare America!
O Immaculate Heart of Mary,
Pray for us!
