Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul - June 29th
Apostles and Martyrs

“…Most cunning serpent,
you shall no more dare to deceive the human race…
The glorious Mother of God, the Virgin Mary commands you….
The faith of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul…commands you….”
(Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel, Long form)

Both St. Peter and St. Paul underwent tremendous injustices, persecution, and ultimately, martyrdom. After Our Lord’s Ascension they most assuredly had times, possibly prolonged times, of fear, feelings of inadequacy and doubt. However, in St. Paul’s 2nd Letter to Timothy from today’s liturgical readings, he gives us some insight into how he and Peter dealt with these weaknesses:

“…The Lord stood by me and gave me strength, so that through me the proclamation might be completed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was rescued from the lion’s mouth. The Lord will rescue me from every evil threat and will bring me safely to His heavenly Kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever….”
(Tim 4:17-18)

What do we know about the lives of these great saints: Peter & Paul?...

Litany of St. Peter, Prince of Apostles...

Litany of St. Paul the Apostle...

What has OLOE said on this feast of Sts. Peter and Paul?

“…My little ones, as with the sword that struck St. Paul and the crucifixion that killed my St. Peter, know that with the feast of these two martyrs the glorification of God is at hand; and in His glorification are those who are drawn to them in the Truth of God as in osmosis, so as to be like them in all ways as Saints. Only God gives this great glory to those who are very close to Him, so as to be able to share in the depth and breadth of His great suffering and dolorous Passion. For this you must be grateful and know that it is not my Son punishing you, but it is because you have been raised to a new level of tremendous intimacy with God that you have been likened unto Him in suffering for the salvation of humanity. This does not mean that this suffering will last for a greater period of time. This only means that the suffering at this moment is for the sake of gathering people together to rise up and to give God Himself the glory and praise….” (OLOE Public 05-30-96)

“I love you. God loves you. Remember these 3 important items:

1. You should love with all your heart
2. You should be detached from things that prevent you from growing in holiness
3. You should have the poverty of spirit and profound humility in all that you do….

“Watch what comes from your lips, because what is said, for every word you will be held accountable….” (OLOE Private 06-28-09)

Feast of the First Holy Roman Martyrs - June 30

Despite the injustice, persecution, torture and death of these early Roman Christians, they were able to remain focused on the Light of Christ within themselves. So too, OLOE teaches us the same lesson during both our good times and bad times:

“…In your life there are good times and bad times. Whenever you want to know the Truth but are distracted and confused, or when you are wounded or hurt or just unsure, do not focus on any of those elements. All you need do is remember this: You are the Light of Christ, and in Jesus you can be that Light through your smile, through your hopefulness and through your willingness. You do not have to analyze or discern. You do not have to discuss any matter with any person. All you have to do is look within. In the midst of your turmoil and confusion, there where the light is, God will enlighten you. If you are faithful,… all can be changed and renewed…. Peace lives within. As you invite the Holy Spirit to dwell within you, to enlighten you and to guide you, Peace will always follow… God is the ultimate Judge. You are called to love and to be Love….”

The Month Dedicated to the Most Precious Blood of Jesus

Why do we commemorate the Most Precious Blood of Jesus?...

Adoration of His Most Precious Blood?

Litany of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus...

Prayer of St. Gertrude the Great

Eternal Father,
I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus,
in union with the Masses said throughout the world today,
for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory,
for sinners everywhere,
for sinners in the Universal Church,
those in my own home and within my family.

(Our Lord told St. Gertrude the Great that the above prayer would release 1,000 souls from Purgatory each time it is said. The prayer was extended to include living sinners which would alleviate the indebtedness accrued to them during their lives.)

13th Sunday in Ordinary Time, July 1, 2018

In this first liturgical reading from the 13th week in Ordinary Time from the Book of Wisdom we read that it was not God who made death, but rather through the envy of the devil did death enter the world.  It is this same devil who seems to have very successfully led much of humanity on a road away from God, a road that has put the eternal salvation of a large portion of humanity in jeopardy.  But what do we and our families know about the devil?  Have we too been deceived?  Have we lost all sense of sin in our nation and our world?

“…God did not make death,
nor does he rejoice in the destruction of the living.
For he fashioned all things that they might have being;
and the creatures of the world are wholesome,
and there is not a destructive drug among them
nor any domain of the netherworld on earth,
for justice is undying.
For God formed man to be imperishable;
the image of his own nature he made him.
But by the envy of the devil, death entered the world,
and they who belong to his company experience it….”

(Wis 1:13-15; 2:23-24)

Let us recall what Our Lord Jesus Christ in His Lessons to the world and Our Lady of Emmitsburg in her Messages have said to the world regarding sin, dishonesty and deceitfulness:

Honesty and Integrity, Part II

Feast of St. Thomas the Apostle - July 3

Jesus to Thomas:
“…Have you come to believe because you have seen Me?
Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed…”

(Jn 20:29)

St. Thomas’ brief biography…

What has OLOE said on the feast of doubting Thomas?

“…We’re in a different time, and you have been commissioned to do something different…You are to remain here in this world to help others and to guide them, to be a light and to touch them with Love; because when the chaos unfolds, that is the only thing that will calm everyone... It does not matter what people say or think. It does not matter what they portray against your character. The truth is the Truth, and that will unfold! ...You must defend the truth when it becomes a controversy beyond reconciliation. You have to stand up for the truth…You must continue on in your mission… Please continue on. If you go in the wrong direction, I will tell you….”

4th of July 2018 - Independence Day USA

Will 2018 be the Year
the USA Gains Total Independence
from God and His Laws?

Even though it does not seem to be politically correct in 2018 to speak of life, religion, morality and virtue, President George Washington, in his farewell address in 1796, felt quite differently as he looked forward to the road this nation would need to follow to be faithful to the ideals of its founders:

First Inaugural Address - George Washington - April 30, 1789

“…No people can be bound to acknowledge and adore the Invisible Hand which conducts the affairs of men more than those of the United States. Every step by which they have advanced to the character of an independent nation seems to have been distinguished by some token of providential agency…”

Farewell Address - George Washington - September, 1796

“…Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. The mere politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them. A volume could not trace all their connections with private and public felicity. Let it simply be asked: Where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation deserts the oaths which are the instruments of investigations in courts of justice? And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be concealed to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience, both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle. It is substantially true that virtue or morality is a necessary spring of popular government. The rule, indeed, extends with more or less force to every species of free government. Who that is a sincere friend to it can look with indifference upon attempts to shake the foundation of the fabric"

"It would be peculiarly improper to omit in this first official act my fervent supplications to that Almighty Being who rules over the universe, who presides in the councils of nations, and whose providential aids can supply every human defect, that His benediction may consecrate to the liberties and happiness of the people of the United States, a Government instituted by themselves for these essential purposes….”

And in his Prayer for Government, Archbishop John Carroll of Baltimore Maryland, just 5 years earlier in 1791, prayed:

"We pray Thee O God of might, wisdom and justice! Through whom authority is rightly administered, laws are enacted, and judgment decreed, assist with Thy Holy Spirit of counsel and fortitude the President of these United States, that his administration may be conducted in righteousness, and be eminently useful to Thy people over whom he presides; by encouraging due respect for virtue and religion; by a faithful execution of the laws in justice and mercy; and by restraining vice and immorality….”

Baltimore Archbishop John Carroll "Prayer for Government"...

“…What has Our Lady of Emmitsburg said on this celebration of freedom? The world does not truly realize the breadth and depth of His Love, and what His Love has done for you, and how His Love has   gained your freedom?. For if your soul is not at rest and at peace, you cannot be truly free, nor can  you be truly happy!...”
(OLOE Private 07-04-06)

Our Lady of Emmitsburg July 4, 2006...

"...This is a great country that God has blessed. But a true country, worthy of the blessing of God, is not rooted in power or materialism. A country worthy of God's Peace is a country rooted in prayer, in faith, in love, in honesty, in humility, in perseverance, in compassion and in littleness. I would invite you, each one of you, my children, to answer this most important question: "Who are you?" You are born alone, and when you come to meet your Creator at some point in your life, you will die alone. So to answer the question, "Who are you?" you must look into the depths of the core of your soul. You must root out all the vices that are there; and you must grow in true Love, in true humility, and in the freedom which is there, yours to be had. Freedom is not based in power, but it is based in Truth. With God you have the power and the grace to rise above the challenges, to meet your brother and kinsmen face to face in a handshake, and to become as one, consoling, inviting, unifying and accepting...."(OLOE Public 07-04-05)

4th of July 2018 - Independence Day USA (Continued)

Most Holy Trinity: Our Father in Heaven, who chose Mary as the fairest of your daughters; Holy Spirit, who chose Mary as Your spouse; God the Son, who chose Mary as Your Mother; in union with Mary, we adore your majesty and acknowledge Your supreme, eternal dominion and authority.

Most Holy Trinity, we put the United States of America into the hands of Mary Immaculate in order that she may present the country to you. Through her we wish to thank you for the great resources of this land and for the freedom, which has been its heritage. Through the intercession of Mary, have mercy on the Catholic Church in America. Grant us peace. Have mercy on our President and on all the officers of our government. Grant us a fruitful economy born of justice and charity. Have mercy on capital and industry and labor. Protect the family life of the nation. Guard the precious gift of many religious vocations. Through the intercession of our Mother, have mercy on the sick, the poor, the tempted, sinners & on all who are in need.

Mary, Immaculate Virgin, Our Mother, Patroness of our land, we praise you and honor you and give our country and ourselves to your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. O' Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary pierced by the sword of sorrow prophesized by Simeon save us from degeneration, disaster and war. Protect us from all harm. O' Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, you who bore the sufferings of your Son in the depths of your heart be our Advocate. Pray for us, that acting always according to you will and the Will of your Divine Son, we may live and die pleasing to God. Amen

Prayer for the Protection of Religious Liberty

Through the power and working of your Holy Spirit, you call us to live our faith in the midst of the world, bringing the Light and the saving Truth of the Gospel to every corner of society.

We ask you to bless us in our vigilance for the gift of religious liberty, Give us the strength of mind and heart to readily defend our freedoms when they are threatened; give us courage in making our voices heard on behalf of the rights of your Church and the freedom of conscience of all people of faith.

Grant, we pray, O heavenly Father, a clear and united voice to all your sons and daughters gathered in your Church in this decisive hour in the history of our nation, so that, with every trial withstood and every danger overcome for the sake of our children, our grandchildren, and all who come after us, this great land will always be one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

We ask his through Christ our Lord. Amen

George Washington and the Angel (or Our Lady)

Are you aware of the experience of the first US President, George Washington, had with Our Lady, and the prophecies about this nation and the world that She foretold? Do you think any of our current politicians would give Her any attention if She were to visit them today? Some now say it is a hoax, but that is what many say about all private revelation. You pray and discern as you look at the current world around you:

Prayer to Save America

During these critical times in U.S. history as well as in salvation history, the Foundation will be including this prayer on all e-newsletters.

O merciful God, we cry to Thee for pardon and for mercy.
We are an unbelieving and perverse generation.
We are disobedient, disloyal and ungrateful to Thee.
We have excluded Thee from our homes, our schools, our places of business.
We are no longer worthy to be called Thy children.
Merciful Father, spare America!
Forgive us!
Save us from the scourge we deserve.
Teach us Thy law, and move our wills to serve Thee today and everyday.
Merciful God, please spare America!
O Immaculate Heart of Mary,
Pray for us!
