This past Sunday, June 16, 2018, our nation celebrated Father’s Day. In May we celebrated Mother’s Day.  Yet as these celebrations continue yearly, we can see Satan’s successful dismantling of the family unit and the effects it has had on the children.  So many families do not have effective father figures due to a multitude of reasons.  The following two articles more specifically address the specifics of a fatherless family and ways that this trend might be arrested:

Why Satan Targets Fathers

A Quote from Pope St. John Paul the Great

That Is A Must Read For Every Father

(…Children are faced with demoralizing circumstances at such an exponential

rate that it is affecting their spiritual, physical and mental state….”)

June 2018

The Month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Traditionally in the Church, the month of June has been designated as a month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. However, private revelation has added to this celebration a triduum of feasts - the Sacred Heart of the Father, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. And some may ask: Where does the devotion to the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary come from? So together, let us explore this packed week of solemn and holy devotions...

The Fortnight for Freedom - June 21-July 4, 2018

United States Conference of Catholic Bishops

What is the Fortnight for Freedom?

Each year dioceses around the country arrange special events to highlight the importance of defending religious freedom. The Fortnight for Freedom is from June 21 - the vigil of the Feasts of St. John Fisher and St. Thomas More - to July 4, Independence Day.

Prayer for the Protection of Religious Liberty

O God our Creator,
from your provident hand we have received
our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
You have called us as your people and given us
the right and the duty to worship you, the only true God,
and your Son, Jesus Christ.
Through the power and working of your Holy Spirit,
you call us to live out our faith in the midst of the world,
bringing the light and the saving truth of the Gospel
to every corner of society.
We ask you to bless us
in our vigilance for the gift of religious liberty.
Give us the strength of mind and heart
to readily defend our freedoms when they are threatened;
give us courage in making our voices heard
on behalf of the rights of your Church
and the freedom of conscience of all people of faith.
Grant, we pray, O heavenly Father,
a clear and united voice to all your sons and daughters
gathered in your Church
in this decisive hour in the history of our nation,
so that, with every trial withstood
and every danger overcome—
for the sake of our children, our grandchildren,
and all who come after us—
this great land will always be "one nation, under God,
indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Feast of Sts. John Cardinal Fisher and Thomas More

June 22 - English Martyrs

Brief biography...

“I condemn no other man’s conscience; their conscience may save them, and mine must save me. We should remember, in all the controversies in which we engage, to treat our opponents as if they were acting in good faith, even if they seem to us to be acting out of spite or self-interest.”
(St. John Cardinal Fisher, 1459-1534)

“But no matter how high in the clouds this arrow of pride may fly, and no matter how exuberant one may feel while being carried up so high, let us remember that the lightest of these arrows still has a heavy iron head. High as it may fly, therefore, it inevitably has to come down and hit the ground; and sometimes it lands in a not very clean place.”
(St. Thomas More, Patron of Lawyers, 1478-1534)

What has OLOE said on this feast of Sts. Fisher and More?

?You belong to God, and this means you are all One in Him. If you are One with God, you should join together in unity and pray together as a community, not simply for one person, but for everyone. My Son died for all of humanity, not a select few; and His Death unified the human race as He took on each one of your sins and drew each one of you to His Sacred Heart. Through His one act on Calvary, He taught humanity the Way to peace, unity and harmony; and He invites you to imitate His ways of holiness….” (OLOE Public 06-22-00)

Feast of the Birth St. John the Baptist - June 24--SOLEMNITY

“When the time arrived
for Elizabeth to have her child
she gave birth to a son….
‘John is his name,’ and all were amazed.
Immediately his (Zachariah’s) mouth was opened,
his tongue freed, and he spoke blessing God….
All who heard these things took them to heart,
saying, ‘What, then will this child be?’
For surely the hand of the Lord was with him.”

(Lk 1:57-66)

The Catholic Encyclopedia teaches us about the life of this saint:

Catholic Encyclopedia on St. John the Baptist...

What has Our Lord in His Lessons said on the birth of the Baptist?

“…Those who pray continuously and privately trust in Me and believe I hear them…. They shall be rewarded…. You do not realize how you are glorified tenfold in Me when you pray privately and continuously. Why? Because you are confident that I, your Lord, am hearing your prayers. It is true faith and trust, and I shall grant your request according to your most intimate happiness…. Many of My people cannot do this because they are uncomfortable with themselves and have little self-acceptance…. When My people are of this nature, it is because they are afraid of the truth with which they would be faced and afraid of change….” (JOM, Vol I, #64, 06-23-89, Prayer: Private and Communal)

I AM Your Jesus of Mercy:
June 23, 1989...

St. John the Baptist, the cousin of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is called by some, “The Last of the Old Testament Prophets.” Who but Our Lady herself will be the “Last of the New Testament Prophets” and what has Our Lady of Emmitsburg said on St. John the Baptist’s great feast day?

“…You shall know the true children of God by their actions, their words and their fruits which unfold from genuine love…. Humility, charity and love must be your way of life. Mercy must always abound in all situations…. Work together in love, and be children who share the same vision of mercy, a vision of love and forgiveness, not anger, bitterness or fear….” (OLOE Public 06-24-99)

Our Lady of Emmitsburg June 24, 1999...

“…In the world, how many times can one call ‘wolf' before no longer anyone listens or responds? Yet, my Son calls many times because He wants all those who are genuine to really listen and to respond, not once or twice, but every time He may call, whether it be false or whether it be real. He wants the servant to say, ‘Here I am Lord. Your servant is listening. I come to do your Will.' How lax people become after so many times when they have not felt gratitude, recognition and comfort! ...Beware and be alert! ...For when my Son comes, where will you be? Will you be alert? Will you be ready? ...Be not afraid, but be certain! ...One person can give his/her life for another, but never risk his/her soul.” (OLOE Private 06-23-05)

Our Lady of Emmitsburg June 23, 2005...

“…You can do nothing. You can contribute nothing. But through the grace of God, in your lowliness, He allows you to give and to receive. But nothing can you claim heroically or attribute to your good name…. It is a different battle and a different world, but humility must be your foremost and greatest virtue or your own sword will slay you…” (OLOE Private 06-23-09)

Our Lady of Emmitsburg June 23, 2009...

St. John the Baptist was chosen to prepare the way of the Lord and to make straight His paths. He announced the good news of the coming Messiah. In a similar way, we as Catholic therapists are to prepare the way of the Lord for those suffering from mental and emotional problems so that the joyful life of Jesus can be experienced more fully. To that end, we join in prayer imploring the intercession of this great saint for Catholic/Christian Therapists and all those who come to us for help. Please join us in prayer...

Novena Prayer to St. John the Baptist
for Catholic/Christian Therapists

O Holy St. John, from all eternity you were chosen
To prepare the way for Our Lord Jesus Christ.
We implore your intercession for Catholic therapists,
For all of our members in their work
And for all those we serve in therapy.

Pray for us that we may receive the courage and strength
To persevere in announcing the Good News of Jesus Christ,
Who came to seek and save the lost,
To heal the broken hearted and to bind up their wounds.

May we be guided by the Holy Spirit
With good words of counsel for those in need.
May we be strengthened by your prayers
And good example as we prepare the way for the
Healing power of Jesus to heal and transform
Those entrusted to our care.
We ask all of this through Our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

St. John the Baptist, pray for us!

(Say one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and one Glory Be.)

Medjugorje Novena – 37th Anniversary

June 24-July 2, 2018

So many people throughout the world in the modern day Marian movement have been influenced in some way, often life-changing, by the Apparitions of Our Lady Queen of Peace, allegedly occurring in Medjugorje since June 24, 1981. It does not seem surprising that the last of the New Testament prophets, Our Lady, should begin this final leg of the journey to the End Times on the Feast of the Birth of St. John the Baptist, the last of the Old Testament Prophets. Let us join with the Marian faithful throughout the world during this 9-day novena in thanksgiving for our Heavenly Mother:

37th Anniversary Novena to Our Lady

Feast of St. Cyril of Alexandria - June 27

Egyptian born Bishop of Constantinople & Doctor of the Church

“Who can put Mary’s high honor into words? She is both mother and virgin. I am overwhelmed by the wonder of this miracle! Of course, no one could be prevented from living in the house he had built for himself, yet who would invite mockery by asking his own servant to become his mother? Behold then the joy of the whole universe! Let the union of God and man in the Son of the Virgin Mary fill us with awe and adoration. (St. Cyril of Alexandria, 374-444)

Prayer by St. Cyril of Alexandria

Hail, Mother and virgin, eternal temple of the Godhead, venerable treasure of creation, crown of virginity, support of the true faith, on which the Church is founded throughout the world.

Mother of God, who contained the infinite God under your heart, whom no space can contain: through you the most Holy Trinity is revealed, adored, and glorified, demons are vanquished, Satan cast down from heaven into hell and our fallen nature again assumed into heaven.

Through you the human race, held captive in the bonds of idolatry, arrives at the knowledge of Truth. What more shall I say of you? Hail, through whom kings rule, through whom the Only-Begotten Son of God has become the Star of Light to those sitting in darkness and in the shadow of death. Amen.

Feast of St. Irenaeus - June 28

2nd Century Bishop and Martyr

St. Irenaeus and the God Who Doesn’t Need Us ...

What has OLOE said on the feast of St. Irenaeus?

“…Be careful in speaking too much. It is not as necessary to reveal so much information as it is to live your lives to proclaim the Gospel. Speak when you must speak, but it is not necessary to continue giving too much background information. Your ‘yes' must be a ‘yes,' and your ‘no' must be a ‘no.' That continuity is what will complete the rest of the chapter for all those who come….” (OLOE Private 06-28-06)

Prayer to Save America

During these critical times in U.S. history as well as in salvation history, the Foundation will be including this prayer on all e-newsletters.

O merciful God, we cry to Thee for pardon and for mercy.
We are an unbelieving and perverse generation.
We are disobedient, disloyal and ungrateful to Thee.
We have excluded Thee from our homes, our schools, our places of business.
We are no longer worthy to be called Thy children.
Merciful Father, spare America!
Forgive us!
Save us from the scourge we deserve.
Teach us Thy law, and move our wills to serve Thee today and everyday.
Merciful God, please spare America!
O Immaculate Heart of Mary,
Pray for us!
