Can you help us?

Since 2006 the Foundation of the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary has sought to provide an inspirational and devotional tool for the faithful Marian devotees, drawing primarily from the mystical events (1989-2010) involving Gianna Talone Sullivan and God the Father in His Words to the world, Our Lord Jesus Christ in His Lessons and Our Lady of Emmitsburg in her Messages.  By years end 2018 we will have sponsored over 700 weekly and special edition enewsletters. The work involved with this effort has been entirely voluntary and all expenses(approx. $2500-3000/year) dealt primarily with internet expenses and yearly IRS filings  We have recently even further reduced internet expenses (to $1500-2000/year) by switching servers as you may have noticed by the new newsletter format.  This new server gives us much more local control over producing the newsletter and the ability to put forth at any time an especially urgent message or newsletter.

Our current projected yearly expenses for the next 2 years are:

We would greatly appreciate your prayerful and financial support in this continued effort. Any donations over and above costs will be donated to Mission of Mercy, Inc., the mobile healthcare ministry home-based in Emmitsburg, MD, founded by Dr. Gianna Talone Sullivan in 1991 and currently operating with free medical, dental and prescription drug therapy to the uninsured and underinsured in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Arizona and Texas.

Mission of Mercy…

May you and your families have a very holy, Holy Week and fruitful preparation for Divine Mercy Sunday, April 8, 2018!

Lent 2018– Almsgiving

Traditionally, “almsgiving” has referred to the charitable, sacrificial giving of money, food and clothing to the needy; however, if one goes back to the Greek derivation of the word “alms” it meant mercy, a deed of mercy. And could there ever be a greater deed of mercy, a gift of alms, than that given by God the Father and our Blessed Mother Mary to humanity than the gift of their Son Jesus Christ on the Cross for our salvation?

“… He emptied Himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness; and found human in appearance, He humbled Himself, becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross….”(from the 2nd liturgical reading on Palm Sunday of St. Paul, Phil 2:6-8)

Let us recall what Our Lord in His Lessons to the world has shared about giving?

"Share your gifts. ...the giving of gifts I have given you for all My people of this world. Charity is a gift - a gift that combines Love, faith, trust, joy and hope for others. Charity is a gift of giving yourself.... Realize the gifts I have given you. Share your gifts, so that you will be given more!” (JOM, Vol I, #13, 12-03-88, Charity)

I AM Your Jesus of Mercy:

December 3, 1988...

"I tell you that your work does not go unnoticed. There is not one of My people I do not notice when they love, or feed and clothe My poor ones.... There is also not one of My people I do not notice who hates, or steals and kills My dear ones. ...My people do not realize that what they have, I have given them! In their greediness, they do not realize that I can also take away! It is My Mother who is so loving, and who calms My anger and comforts My sorrow.” (JOM, Vol I, #28, 02-05-89, Service)

I AM Your Jesus of Mercy:

February 5, 1989...

"The saints before you gave alms of offerings and penance, and their main message is still the one I preach to you today: to love, to give to Me, to give to one another, that those who are hungry and poor may live in union. The richness of the earth was created for all, so that no one should go without. Why, then, are so many without?” (JOM, Vol IV, #28, 07-09-92, Solitude)

Litany of St. Joseph...

AN ANCIENT PRAYER TO ST. JOSEPH That is said to never fail!

O ST. JOSEPH, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in thee all my interests and desires. O St. Joseph, assist me by thy powerful intercession and obtain for me all spiritual blessings through thy foster Son, Jesus Christ Our Lord, so that, having engaged here below thy heavenly power, I may offer thee my thanksgiving and homage.

O St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating thee and Jesus asleep in thine arms. I dare not approach while He reposes near thy heart. press Him in my name and kiss His fine head for me, and ask Him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls, pray for me.  Amen.

March 23, 2018 Feast of Our Lady of Victories

Historically today is the feast of Our Lady of Victories, (there are nine separate days in honor of Our Lady of Victory, the main being October 7) Today's feast commemorates the victory in Hungary. On August 6, 1716, Prince Eugene of Savoy defeated a large invading Ottoman army at Peterwardein, Hungary. The victory set the stage for the re-conquest of Hungary from the Turks.

What better way to begin the walk of Our Lord and Our Lady through the Triduum of Holy Week than to celebrate anticipatorily the victory to be secured for all humanity?

Novena Prayer to Our Lady of Victory

Our Lady of Victory, we have unshaken confidence in your influence with your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ. Humbly we ask your intercession for all of us associated under your title, Our Lady of Victory. We beg your powerful assistance also for our own personal needs. (Mention your personal intentions.) In your maternal kindness, please ask Jesus to forgive all our sins and failings, and to secure His blessings for us and for all the works of charity dedicated to your name. We implore you to obtain for us the grace of sharing Christ's victory and yours forever in the life that knows no ending. May we join you there to praise forever the Father, His Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, One God, for all ages to come. Amen.

To be followed by the Litany and special prayers:

Solemn Novena to Our Lady of Victory...

Palm Sunday (Passion Sunday) - March 25, 2018

Traditionally, Palm Sunday has been the last Sunday of Lent and the Sunday before Holy Week. This is the day the Church traditionally celebrates Our Lord’s triumphant ride into Jerusalem amid shouts of “Hosanna! Hosanna to God in the highest!” And then, paradoxically reads the Gospel account of His Passion for the first time in Holy Week: “Crucify Him! Crucify Him!" For many in the world, this week may be their final Holy Week, a week to reflect on suffering - “patiens” - the suffering endured by Our Lord Jesus Christ for the salvation of each and every one of us. Our Lord Jesus Christ in His Lessons and Our Lady of Emmitsburgspeak to us about Patience:

The Litany of the Passion...

What has Our Lady of Emmitsburg said on Palm Sunday?

“…During this Holy Week I would ask you to ponder my Son’s tremendous Love for you. Be for Him what He has been for you. Support Him, love Him, thank Him, and rally Him on in your hearts as if this was the initial act of His Sorrowful Passion…. Look to Him to give Him your love, and do not wait for Him to look to you. This is the one week that He looks to receive. As you are precious children of His Divine Light, look to Him and give Him the love, the praise and the comfort of your entire beings…. This is a new        beginning, because it will never again be the same. We then shall move forward; and as we move forward, we will address all of the other areas that have been thorns for you, those areas that have tormented you and caused you sorrow. But they will no longer continue to cause you sorrow, because my Son is with you. As He makes all things new, He will make everything new …. (OLOE Private 04-04-04)

Our Lady of Emmitsburg April 4, 2004...

“…You must guard your children. Children are the ones who are meeting evil face to face. Those families who pray together and those families who guard their children are protected, because the children will grow in wisdom…. Pray with all your heart, because the evil one’s desires to destroy children. However, it cannot happen when there is love and prayer; but it can happen when parents do not focus and tend to their children….

“…I love you on this most glorious day as we enter Holy Week, during which we will be grateful to God the Father for releasing all of us from the hands of evil. You, especially those who come to the Sacred Heart and implore His help, wear the cloak of humility, justice and peace. But remember, children, that the Man on Whom you look, the Son of Man, God Himself, is also the same Child Who ruled in Joy, in Love, and by example. He Who was the Child is the Son of Man! You cannot have one without the other….” (OLOE Private 04-09-06, Palm Sunday)

Prayer to Save America

During these critical times in U.S. history as well as in salvation history, the Foundation will be including this prayer on all e-newsletters.

O merciful God, we cry to Thee for pardon and for mercy.
We are an unbelieving and perverse generation.
We are disobedient, disloyal and ungrateful to Thee.
We have excluded Thee from our homes, our schools, our places of business.
We are no longer worthy to be called Thy children.
Merciful Father, spare America!
Forgive us!
Save us from the scourge we deserve.
Teach us Thy law, and move our wills to serve Thee today and everyday.
Merciful God, please spare America!
O Immaculate Heart of Mary,
Pray for us!
