30-day Novena to St. Joseph

It would appear that almost every person and family have pressing prayer intentions for situations which include not only universal issues such as world peace and the end of abortion, but even more personal issues that involve the very salvation of the ones they love. Join us in this 30-day Novena to St. Joseph, entrusting the head of the Holy Family with our most personal and pressing intentions. Follow each day's Novena prayer with the Litany to St. Joseph:

Novena to St. Joseph—(30-day) ...

Litany of St. Joseph...

AN ANCIENT PRAYER TO ST. JOSEPH That is said to never fail!

O ST. JOSEPH, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in thee all my interests and desires. O St. Joseph, assist me by thy powerful intercession and obtain for me all spiritual blessings through thy foster Son, Jesus Christ Our Lord, so that, having engaged here below thy heavenly power, I may offer thee my thanksgiving and homage.

O St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating thee and Jesus asleep in thine arms. I dare not approach while He reposes near thy heart. press Him in my name and kiss His fine head for me, and ask Him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls, pray for me.  Amen.

33 Days to Merciful Love...

Feast of St. Patrick of Ireland - March 17

Bishop and Patron of Ireland (389-461)

“Before I was humiliated, I was like a stone that lies in deep mud; and He Who is mighty came and in His compassion raised me up and exalted me very high and placed me on the top of the wall.” (St. Patrick)

What is there to know about St. Patrick’s Day, the day when everyone is Irish?

What has Our Lady of Emmitsburg said on the feast of St. Patrick?

“…If you have been blessed with resources of wealth, intellect, management skills and graces to help His needy, then unite together and give to His less fortunate. They suffer as representation of the humiliated Jesus. Protect my unborn through Love and unity. Teach my youth, and unite all your resources in harmony. Help my Son in His Mission of Mercy. It is the way to Peace…. Prayer and Love will restrain His Hand of punishment from the lack of love. It is the only Way….” (OLOE Public 03-17-94)

“…We are on the brink of war. As I have told my children so often, this is the time of turmoil and tribulation; a time not to lose focus but to move valiantly ahead; and a time to prepare their hearts, to remove all bitterness, anger and hatred, to live with compassion and forgiveness, to be all-giving, and to realize what true humility is. Now there is a new beginning coming. It is the beginning about which I have often spoken. But the course it takes always is the result of the free will and response of my children….” (OLOE Public 03-17-03)

“Everyone desires to be loved. When you reject someone, the pain within the heart is as if the person is crucified. It is far better to be loved and to die than to live and to be rejected. It is far better to die than to be treated as if you were dead….” (OLOE Private 03-16-08)

Our Lady of Emmitsburg March 16, 2008...

“I am greatly God’s debtor, because He granted me so much grace, that through me many people would be reborn in God, and soon after confirmed, and that clergy would be ordained everywhere for them, and the masses lately come to belief, whom the Lord drew from the ends of the earth, just as He once promised through his prophets….” (St. Patrick of Ireland, 385-441 AD)

5th Sunday of Lent—March 18, 2018

In the 2nd  liturgical reading from St. Paul’s Letter to the Hebrews, we read:

“…In the days when Christ Jesus was in the flesh,

He offered prayers and supplications with loud cries and tears

to the One who was able to save Him from death,

and He was heard because of His reverence…

He learned obedience from what He suffered;

and when He was made perfect,

He became the source of eternal salvation

for all who obey Him…”

(Heb: 5:7-9)

And just has Our Lord offered prayers to His heavenly Father, so too we need to offer prayer to our Heavenly Father—prayers of adoration, thanksgiving, reparation and petition—so that we may attain that eternal salvation secured for each of us.  Let us recall what God the Father in His Words to the world, Our Lord Jesus Christ in His Lessons and Our Lady of Emmitsburg in her Messages have shared with us about the value and necessity of “Prayer”:

Lent 2018: Prayer

From the Words of God the Father:

"The time of great importance is here. Throughout the centuries I have led my people through trials, tribulations and persecutions. They have been victorious in war and have been defeated through lack of response and prayer or through disobedience." (GTF 08-08-08)

The Words of God the Father August 8, 2008...

Our Lord explains further:

"Make no mistake about prayer. It must be made known to My people that universal prayer, in its entirety, is the spark to igniting a chain of healing graces.... Tell My people to pray! Tell them of the power they have been granted through Me in loving prayer. I say ‘loving’ prayer, for any unloving prayer will be struck down and return to the soul from which it was derived to cause grief.... A childlike prayer penetrates to the core of My Father’s Throne." (LESSONS, Vol. II, #21, 11-28-89)

LESSONS from Our Lord, Prayer, November 28, 1989...

"Do not allow the glory of the world to entice you away from Me. Pray for wisdom and allow Me to ward off the errors of falsehood which could dismay you and be a disadvantage to you.... Pray and be strong through perseverance, that your spirit of love is not broken with deceiving desires and invalid arguments." (LESSONS, Vol. IV, #38, 07-24-92)

LESSONS from Our Lord, Steps to Prayer, July 24, 1992...

And finally, Our Lady of Emmitsburg encourages prayer for her priests, the gift of life, in times of difficulties and challenges, and in response to the promises made to Abraham:

"I ask you to unite with me in prayer for my beloved priests who are loyal to my Son and who suffer tremendously. Their pain is endless because of their loyalty. Pray for them especially during these times of uncertainty and troubles." (OLOE Public 02-10-94)

Our Lady of Emmitsburg March 10, 1994...

"Do not destroy the gift of Joy by destroying the gift of Life. Protect Life in love and through prayer. I am here to protect all life, and no forces of evil can prevail over me. This place is the haven of life because it is the Center of my Immaculate Heart where all children seek refuge. It will withstand all attacks from evil because I am here with my Child Jesus. It is a center of refuge for all children." (OLOE Public 03-09-95)

Our Lady of Emmitsburg March 9, 1995...

"Good will always prevail for all who pray, hope and work for tomorrow. Help all people who seem lost and confused through actions of love. They will be encouraged and regain their hope when they look to you as an example of love and gentleness….You can rise above hatred, difficulties and all challenges with love, gentleness and perseverance. Join me in prayer, little children, and endure your challenges." (OLOE Public 03-14-96)

Our Lady of Emmitsburg March 14, 1996...

"I thank you for your prayers. You are always protected within my most Immaculate Heart. ...the Providence of God would have it that in the time of need and when the end times come, God will come to your aid as He promised the patriarch Abraham that many descendants would be gathered through the seed of faith." (OLOE Public 08-03-08)

Our Lady of Emmitsburg August 3, 2008...

Feast of St. Cyril of Jerusalem - March 18

Bishop and Doctor of the Church (315-386)

“The Spirit comes gently and makes Himself known by His fragrance. He is not felt as a burden, for He is Light, very light. Rays of light and knowledge stream before Him as He approaches. The Spirit comes with the tenderness of a true friend and protector to save, to heal, to teach, to counsel, to strengthen and to console.”
(St. Cyril of Jerusalem)

What has Our Lord in His Lessons said on the feast of St. Cyril?

“…I came to save the sinner, but My people think they have not sinned and do not need God. They have made idols of themselves. Anything which is good within them they display and brag outwardly in self-love. They do not see that all good things come from Me and Me alone, not through their own merit. They consider themselves perfect and in no need of change…. This carelessness will result in their own judgment in due season. If they will not heed My Word and allow My Mercy to change their strong hearts to repentant hearts, their own judgment standards will toss them into the abyss of eternal flames which will consume their souls in everlasting agony and misery….” (JOM, Vol V, #8, 03-18-95, The Idolarty of Self)

I AM Your Jesus of Mercy:
March 18, 1995...

What has Our Lady of Emmitsburg said on this feast of St. Cyril?

“…Evil has struck the earth, and spirits of darkness are everywhere leading people astray. Many are abandoning the faith. Even priests are breaking away from the True Word of God. God needs children of His Light and children too of His Merciful Love. Do not fall into Satan’s trap. Be happy children, filled with the Spirit of humility and childlikeness….” (OLOE Public 03-18-99)

“…Peace to you in a world where so many people strive for peace, but in a world where more is better, and where people say they have not enough, and where people become indifferent and immune thinking that this is just the way it should be. In a world as such, greed and selfishness continue to climb; and those who are poor become poorer. In a world where there is hatred, those who live without God become obsessed in following through with destruction…. In a world where there is neither enough food nor love, and in a world where people believe scarcity is a way of life, I tell you that it is a world of abundance! The world in which you live is one that does not see clearly all the graces and gifts it has and the power given to you by the Hand of God Himself….” (OLOE Private 05-30-05)

“Remove all obstacles and stumbling blocks so that you will be able to go straight along the road to eternal life. Through a sincere faith prepare yourselves so that you may be free to receive the Holy Spirit…. This is truly a great occasion. Approach it with caution. You are standing in front of God and in the presence of the hosts of angels. The Holy Spirit is about to impress His seal on each of your souls. You are about to be pressed into the service of a great King.” (Catechetical instruction preparing those for Baptism and Confirmation, St. Cyril of Jerusalem, 350 AD)

Feast of St. Joseph - March 19, 2018

The Husband of Mary & Foster Father of Jesus

"…To other Saints Our Lord seems to have given power to succor us in some special necessity -- but to this glorious Saint, I know by experience, He has given the power to help us in all. Our Lord would have us understand that as He was subject to St. Joseph on earth -- for St. Joseph bearing the title of father and being His guardian, could command Him -- so now in Heaven Our Lord grants us all his petitions. I have asked others to recommend themselves to St. Joseph, and they, too, know the same thing by experience…." (St. Teresa of Avila, Autobiography, VI, 9)

What has Our Lady of Emmitsburg said about her beloved spouse St. Joseph?

“I, the Handmaid of the Lord your God, was betrothed to Joseph, who was a just man of the House of David…. My Joseph and I were led by God through passages where we saw nothing but half-veiled light, but that Light was God Himself advancing us toward His mountain of Love…. You also are invited to walk the passage of Love, seen though it may be veiled with silence and little consolation….” (OLOE Public 12-16-99)

“...Focusing on the Holy Family protects you with the cloak of my mantle. It inspires you to live fully within my Son’s means and through the gifts of the Holy Spirit. It invites you to the humility, righteousness and justice exemplified with great zeal and Love by my beloved Joseph; and it blesses you with the omnipotence of the Child Jesus Whose power and glory reign on this earth and throughout the entire universe….” (OLOE Public 08-22-03)

“...Many great prophets, leaders and saints were commissioned to do many things they never lived to see; but what they did have was faith. If they had not believed, where would you be now? ...So, it is with great joy this evening that I can come to you to say that you will see the apostasy that is at hand. What many prophets and leaders and saints did not see in their day, you will see the fulfillment with great joy indeed! I can tell you that even regarding Fatima, about which I have said that here (Emmitsburg, the Center of my Immaculate Heart) is the continuation of Fatima; even at Fatima the hierarchy of the Church never really did reveal the Truth…. “  (OLOE Public 05-30-96)

“…My Joseph (spouse of Mary) on this very night has allowed me to ask God to reveal this to you: …But God is God, and He loves you and is loving and merciful; and there is nothing that can change His Love for you, even any act of sinfulness that you do. That’s how much He loves you. And this really pertains to the Church today, and to the millions of people who have been misled from the Truth by the hierarchy of the Church. As Queen of Heaven, I can tell you that it gives great disservice to God when the Truth is not revealed, thus not bringing all into a new way this new era. So yes, soon enough, you will see and live through what many were never able to see, the fulfillment of what they had been commissioned to do for God’s glory.” (OLOE Private 03-19-10)

"Some Saints are privileged to extend to us their patronage
with particular efficacy in certain needs, but not in others;
but our holy patron St. Joseph has the power to assist us in all cases,
in every necessity, in every undertaking."

(Words of St. Thomas Aquinas about the Patronage of St. Joseph)

 Prayer to Save America

During these critical times in U.S. history as well as in salvation history, the Foundation will be including this prayer on all e-newsletters.

O merciful God, we cry to Thee for pardon and for mercy.
We are an unbelieving and perverse generation.
We are disobedient, disloyal and ungrateful to Thee.
We have excluded Thee from our homes, our schools, our places of business.
We are no longer worthy to be called Thy children.
Merciful Father, spare America!
Forgive us!
Save us from the scourge we deserve.
Teach us Thy law, and move our wills to serve Thee today and everyday.
Merciful God, please spare America!
O Immaculate Heart of Mary,
Pray for us!
