30-day Novena to St. Joseph

It would appear that almost every person and family have pressing prayer intentions for situations which include not only universal issues such as world peace and the end of abortion, but even more personal issues that involve the very salvation of the ones they love. Join us in this 30-day Novena to St. Joseph, entrusting the head of the Holy Family with our most personal and pressing intentions. Follow each day's Novena prayer with the Litany to St. Joseph:

Novena to St. Joseph...

Litany of St. Joseph...

AN ANCIENT PRAYER TO ST. JOSEPH That is said to never fail!

O ST. JOSEPH, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in thee all my interests and desires. O St. Joseph, assist me by thy powerful intercession and obtain for me all spiritual blessings through thy foster Son, Jesus Christ Our Lord, so that, having engaged here below thy heavenly power, I may offer thee my thanksgiving and homage.

O St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating thee and Jesus asleep in thine arms. I dare not approach while He reposes near thy heart. press Him in my name and kiss His fine head for me, and ask Him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls, pray for me.

Death of Servant of God - Louisa Piccarreta

March 4, 1947

Servant of God Louisa Piccarreta (1865-1947) is an Italian mystic and author whose Cause for beatification has been forwarded to the Vatican. She allegedly lived some 65 years on Communion Eucharistic wafers in a bedridden state. Know as the “Little Daughter of the Divine Will,” she provided the faithful with a Consecration to the Divine Will:

Act of Consecration to the Divine Will
by Louisa Piccarreta

O adorable and Divine Will, behold me here before the immensity of Your Light, that Your eternal goodness may open to me the doors and make me enter into It to form my life all in You, Divine Will. Therefore, O adorable Will, prostrate before Your Light, I, the least of all creatures, put myself into the little group of the sons and daughters of Your Supreme FIAT.

Prostrate in my nothingness, I invoke Your Light and beg that It clothe me and eclipse all that does not pertain to You, Divine Will. It will be my Life, the center of my intelligence, the enrapturer of my heart and of my whole being. I do not want the human will to have life in this heart any longer. I will cast it away from me and thus form the new Eden of peace, of happiness and of love. With It I shall be always happy. I shall have a singular strength and a holiness that sanctifies all things and conducts them to God.

Here prostrate, I invoke the help of the Most Holy Trinity, that They permit me to live in the cloister of the Divine Will and thus return in me the first order of creation, just as the creature was created.

Heavenly Mother, Sovereign and Queen of the Divine FIAT, take my hand and introduce me into the Light of the Divine Will. You will be my guide, my most tender Mother, and will teach me to live in and to maintain myself in the order and the bounds of the Divine Will. Heavenly Mother, I consecrate my whole being to Your Immaculate Heart. You will teach me the doctrine of the Divine Will and I will listen most attentively to your lessons. You will cover me with your mantle so that the infernal serpent dare not penetrate into this sacred Eden to entice me and make me fall into the maze of the human will.

Heart of my greatest Good, Jesus, You will give me Your flames that they may burn me, consume me, and feed me to form in me the Life of the Divine Will.

Saint Joseph, you will be my protector, the guardian of my heart, and will keep the keys of my will in your hands. You will keep my heart jealously and shall never give it to me again, that I may be sure of never leaving the Will of God.

My Guardian Angel, guard me; defend me; help me in everything so that my Eden may flourish and be the instrument that draws all men into the Kingdom of the Divine Will. Amen.

The Divine Will...

Resisting Happiness, by Matthew Kelly:

Best Lent Ever

The 1st Sunday in Lent - March 5, 2017

In Matthew’s Gospel on this 1st Sunday of Lent we hear the story of Our Lord’s 40 days in the desert before He began his public ministry, during which He fasted and was tempted, resisted and was glorified:

At that time Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert
to be tempted by the devil.
He fasted for forty days and forty nights,
and afterwards he was hungry.

The tempter approached and said to him,…

Then the devil took him to the holy city,…

Then the devil took him up to a very high mountain,…

Then the devil left him and, behold,
angels came and ministered to him….”

(Mt 4: 1-11)

Let us recall what Our Lord Jesus Christ in His Lessons to the world, Our Lady of Emmitsburg in her Messages, Sacred Scripture, the Saints and holy priests have taught us about “fasting”:

Feast of St. Perpetua and Felicity - March 7

For years many of us have heard mentioned in Eucharistic Prayer I of the Roman Canon the names of Sts. Perpetua and Felicity, but most probably we know little about them:

About Sts Perpetua & Felicity, Tunisian Martyrs...

Prayer for the Intercession of Sts. Perpetua and Felicity

your love gave the saints Perpetua and Felicity
courage to suffer a cruel martyrdom.
By their prayers, help us to grow in love of you.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.

What has Our Lord said on this feast of His young female martyrs?

“…Love is the greatest gift there is! My people need to focus on the grace of love…. Love is loving the spirit; loving far beyond the body, but loving the spirit, for the spirit is God!...I say to love all, for the Father lives in all and His Spirit is Love!...” (JOM, Vol II, #50, 03-07-90, Expressions of Love)

I AM Your Jesus of Mercy:
March 7, 1990...

Feast of St. John of God - March 8

Portuguese Religious & Patron of the Sick and Hospitallers (1445-1550)

“If we look forward to receiving God's mercy, we can never fail to do good so long as we have the strength. For if we share with the poor, out of love for God, whatever He has given to us, we shall receive according to His promise a hundredfold in eternal happiness. What a fine profit, what a blessed reward! With outstretched arms He begs us to turn toward Him, to weep for our sins, and to become the servants of love, first for ourselves, then for our neighbors. Just as water extinguishes a fire, so love wipes away sin.”
(St. John of God)

The life, the novena prayer, and the litany of St. John of God...

Prayer to St. John of God

Saint John of God, I honor thee as the Patron of the Sick, especially of those who are afflicted by heart disease. I choose thee to be my patron and protector in my present illness. To thee I entrust my soul, my body, all my spiritual and temporal interests, as well as those of the sick throughout the world. To thee I consecrate my mind, that in all things it may be enlightened by faith above all in accepting my cross as a blessing from God; my heart, that thou doth keep it pure and fill it with the love for Jesus and Mary that burned in thy heart; my will, that like thine, it may always be one with the Will of God.

Good Saint John, I honor thee as the model of penitents, for thou didst receive the grace to give up a sinful life and to atone for thy sins by untiring labors in behalf of the poor and sick. Obtain for me the grace from God to be truly sorry for my sins, to make atonement for them and never again offend God. Aid me in mastering my evil inclinations and temptations, and in avoiding all occasions of sin. Through thine intercession may I obtain the grace from Jesus and Mary to fulfill faithfully all the duties of my state of life and to practice those virtues which are needful for my salvation. Help me to belong to God and Our Lady in life and in death through perfect love. May my life, like thine, be spent in the untiring service of God and my neighbor. Since Holy Mother Church also invokes thee in her prayers for the dying, I beg thee to be with me in my last hour and pray for me. As thou didst die kneeling before a crucifix, may I find strength, consolation and salvation in the Cross of my Redeemer, and through His tender mercy and the prayers of Our Lady, and through thine intercession, attain to eternal life. Amen.

What has Our Lady of Emmitsburg said on the feast of St. John of God?

“…These are times when there is tremendous division, when people choose to walk away from my Son and from those who reach out to them. Often those who know they have done wrong, even if you reach out to them, may in their embarrassment choose not to acknowledge or to forgive. But the very act of your reaching out to them means more to God the Father than did their sin itself.

You are blessed for giving, and you are blessed for receiving. Praised be the Holy Name of my Son Who gives and also desires to receive. The more you praise Him, the more sin dissipates.

Do not lose heart, but rally up; because I continue to remain here and to bless you. Do not doubt that there is turmoil caused by both other spirits and by human beings themselves who have desired not to respond to the Will of God. However, I can tell you that God will be victorious, and I live in Him. He has said that He shall overcome the world. Therefore, I living in Him, I the Immaculate Heart, shall also overcome the world victoriously. For He is the greatest, and I am His humble servant reaching out to all of His children….” (OLOE Public 03-08-04)

Words of God the Father - March 8, 2008

Nine years ago, on March 8, 2008, God the Father describe why there will be chaos, and the opportunities to mitigate it and the consequences of ignoring the causes of it:

“…This is why there is chaos---because there is no peace in your heart. There is no freedom or joy, no comfort or holy indifference…

You have all been given an opportunity in Christianity, and your own world is dwindling away. Because of your free will, there is only so much that I will force on you. …

Every day is a new opportunity to give yourself unconditionally to the Truth, regardless of your sinful ways. I, your God of Mercy, am that indeed! If you do not, then the pain and suffering, the fear and panic and confusion, and the division and scandals will only escalate.

As the prophets before and as the prophets now all join in unity to give glory to God through My Son, there will explode a wondrous tomorrow! Painful it might be for those who do not know the Truth and for those who do and refuse to accept it. For those who do know it and accept it, painful it might be; but the overall safety of their souls will be preserved, and the world will be brought forth to its proper place from its inception in Creation….” (GTF, Mar. 8, 2008)

Novena to St. Patrick of Ireland - Mar 9-17, 2017

Join us during this 9-day novena as we petition this 5th century Bishop and Apostle of Ireland who Christianized a pagan nation. Through his intercession, may our modern day “pagan” nations again be Christianized!

Blessed Saint Patrick, glorious Apostle of Ireland, who didst become a friend and father to me for ages before my birth, hear my prayer and accept, for God, the sentiments of gratitude and veneration with which my heart is filled. Through thee I have inherited that faith which is dearer than life. I now make thee the representative of my thanks, and the mediator of my homage to Almighty God. Most holy Father and patron of my country, despise not my weakness; remember that the cries of little children were the sounds that rose, like a mysterious voice from heaven, and invited thee to come amongst us. Listen, then, to my humble supplication; may my prayer ascend to the throne of God, with the praises and blessings which shall ever sanctify thy name and thy memory. May my hope be animated by the patronage and intercession of our forefathers, who now enjoy eternal bliss and owe their salvation, under God, to thy courage and charity. Obtain for me grace to love God with my whole heart, to serve him with my whole strength, and to persevere in good purposes to the end, o faithful shepherd of the Irish flock, who wouldst have laid down a thousand lives to save one soul, take my soul, and the souls of my countrymen, under thy special care. Be a father to the Church of Ireland and her faithful people. Grant that all hearts may share the blessed fruits of that Gospel thou didst plant and water. Grant that, as our ancestors of old had learned, under thy guidance, to unite science with virtue, we too, may learn, under thy patronage, to consecrate all Christian duty to the glory of God. I commend to thee my native land, which was so dear to thee while on earth. Protect it still, and, above all, direct its chief pastors, particularly those who teach us. Give them grace to walk in thy footsteps, to nurture the flock with the word of life and the bread of salvation, and to lead the heirs of the Saints thou hast formed to the possession of that glory which they, with Thee, enjoy in the kingdom of the Blessed: through Christ Jesus, our Lord. Amen.

V. Pray for us, O glorious Saint Patrick.
R. And obtain for us the intention of this Novena.

(Say once a day for 9 days, especially beginning on 8 March and ending on 17 March, the Feast of St. Patrick.)

Prayer to Save America

O merciful God, we cry to Thee for pardon and for mercy.
We are an unbelieving and perverse generation.
We are disobedient, disloyal and ungrateful to Thee.
We have excluded Thee from our homes, our schools, our places of business.
We are no longer worthy to be called Thy children.
Merciful Father, spare America!
Forgive us!
Save us from the scourge we deserve.
Teach us Thy law, and move our wills to serve Thee today and everyday.
Merciful God, please spare America!
O Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary,
Pray for us!
