The US Presidential Inauguration 2017

In President Donald Trump’s inaugural address on Friday, January 20, 2017, we heard the President say:

“…When America is united, America is totally unstoppable…. We are protected by God… God bless you and God bless America.” >(President Trump, Jan.20 1017)

In this week of Prayer for Christian Unity, tomorrow we hear St. Paul preaching to the Corinthians in the second liturgical reading on this 3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time, Jan. 22, 2017:

“…I urge you, brothers and sisters, in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree in what you say, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and in the same purpose….” >(Cor 1:10-13)

However, let us always remember: “Unity” for the sake of apparent unity is a false delusion; however, “unity in Truth” is a gold standard in the spiritual life, but so too in our life in the world. Freely uniting in Truth makes for greater and greater unity and true Peace.

In a nation, and a world that consistently expresses such disunity, let us recall what God the Father in His Words to the world, Our Lord Jesus Christ in His Lessons and Our Lady of Emmitsburg in her Messages shared regarding the fruits of preparation: UNITY - but, Unity in TRUTH:

PREPARE - Part VI-B
Unity in the Nation and the World at Large...

January 2017

The Month Dedicated
to
the Holy Name of Jesus

“...How blessed His Name! All peoples in all nations can see the Face of God and adore Him. Strive to be meek and humble of heart, and then you shall meet Jesus in the faces of your peers and many other peoples of all nations…. I pray that you will have my eyes to adore my Son, and my Heart to love Him as I love Him, and my humility to follow Him at all costs. Be strong and filled with faith, for my adorable Son is yours…. I bless you in His most glorious, omnipotent and adorable Name - a Name to which all shall bow on bended knee….” (Our Lady of Emmitsburg, Private 01-04-09)

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity – Jan. 18-25, 2017

Prayer for Christian Unity

Gracious God, may your Holy Spirit fill our communities with joy and celebration, so that we can cherish the unity we already share, and zealously continue in the search for visible unity. We rejoice in the faith and hope of peoples who refuse to allow their dignity to be diminished, seeing in them your wonderful grace and your promise of freedom. Teach us to share in their joy and learn from their faithful endurance. Rekindle our hope and sustain our resolve, that in Christ‘s Name we may walk together in love, raising a united voice of praise, and singing together one prayer of adoration. God of life, lead us to justice and peace. Amen.

Biblical Text for the 2017 Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

The Biblical Text: 2 Corinthians 5:14-20

This biblical text emphasizes that reconciliation is a gift from God, intended for the entire creation. “God was reconciling the world (kosmos) to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation” (v.19). As a result of God´s action, the person who has been reconciled in Christ is called in turn to proclaim this reconciliation in word and deed: “The love of Christ compels us” (v.14). “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God” (v.20). The text stresses that this reconciliation is not without sacrifice. Jesus gives his life; he died for all. The ambassadors of reconciliation are called, in his name, to give their lives similarly. They no longer live for themselves; they live for him who died for them.

Novena for the Protection of the Unborn , January19-27, 2017

Join us again, January 19th through 27th, just as we recently prayed on the Feast of the Holy Innocents, in a 9-day Novena for the Protection of the Unborn, in preparation for the March for Life in Washington, D.C., on January 27:

Rosary for Life: The Luminous Mysteries

During this week as we approach the day of the National Right to Life March, January 22 in Washington, DC, consider praying these mysteries of the Rosary for Life. Pope John Paul II has given us two great gifts: the Mysteries of Light as part of the Holy Rosary, and the Gospel of Life in his great encyclical Evangelium Vitae. The following meditations on the Mysteries of Light are offered as a prayer for all life, from conception to natural death.

Rosary for Life: The Luminous Mysteries...

Am I a Roman Catholic?

If asked on an application or on a hospital admission form, “Religion,” what does it require for me to honestly answer that question, “Catholic”? Fr. Michael Miller, President of University of St. Thomas in a 2003 homily answered an important part of that question as it regards to Life:

Feast of St. Agnes - January 21

Prayer to St Agnes

O Little St. Agnes, so young and yet made so strong and wise by the power of God, protect by your prayers all the young people of every place whose goodness and purity are threatened by the evils and impurities of this world. Give them strength in temptation and a true repentance when they fall. Help them to find true Christian friends to accompany them in following the Lamb of God and finding safe pastures in His Church and in her holy sacraments.

May you lead us to the wedding banquet of Heaven to rejoice with you and all the holy virgin martyrs in Christ who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.

What has Our Lady of Emmitsburg said on the feast of St. Agnes, virgin and martyr?

“…If you were focusing on my Son, each of you would know with certainty that your soul is safe at all costs. In order to advance in the spiritual world, you must not be afraid to take a risk for God and work hard in the areas of prayer and self-examination. Virtues are gifts from God and must be exercised when graced….” (OLOE Public 01-21-99)

Our Lady of Emmitsburg January 21, 1999...

Feast of St. Francis De Sales - January 24

Bishop and Doctor of the Church (1567-1622)

“I desire very little; and what I do desire, I desire very little. I have hardly any desires, but if I were to begin my life all over again, I would want to have none at all…. Ask for nothing, refuse nothing; we must simply abandon ourselves into the hands of Providence, without nourishing any other desire but to do whatever God wills. St. Paul practiced this act of absolute abandonment at the very moment of his conversion. When he was deprived of his sight, he immediately said, ‘Lord, what do you want me to do?” (Acts 22:10) From that moment on He put himself completely at God’s disposal. All our perfection consists precisely in the practical application of this principle.”(St. Frances de Sales, Spiritual treatises XXI, VI, pp. 383-384))

Litany of St. Frances de Sales...

What has Our Lord in His Lessons said on the feast of St. Francis de Sales?

“…So many of My people and My priests simply and routinely go through the motions. So many of My people, who are My beloved ones, are so entangled and afflicted with ‘self’ issues! They do not come to share with Me or allow Me to comfort or counsel them with My Love. They complain about their own afflictions. It is time My people know the Truth and listen to Me! I am here for them. It is I Who humbles Myself to be consecrated to them! ...Speak to Me openly, sincerely, truthfully and intimately. Stop being obsessed with self-image, problems and daily occurrences…. It begins with the Eucharist for all those who desire reception of Me, and it continues with respectful mannerisms and devoted faithfulness!” ((JOM, Vol II, #40, 01-24-90, Eucharistic Presence)

I AM Your Jesus of Mercy:
EUCHARISTIC PRESENSE
January 24, 1990...

"Moreover, just as every sort of gem, cast in honey, becomes brighter and more sparkling, each according to its color, so each person becomes more acceptable and fitting in his own vocation when he sets his vocation in the context of devotion. Through devotion your family cares become more peaceful, mutual love between husband and wife becomes more sincere, the service we owe to the prince becomes more faithful, and our work, no matter what it is, becomes more pleasant and agreeable." (St. Francis de Sales, Introduction to a Devout Life)

Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul - January 25

Saul to Jesus: “Who are you, sir?”

…Saul got up from the ground,
but when he opened his eyes
he could see nothing;…

Jesus to Ananias: “Get up and go to the street called Straight
and ask at the house of Judas for a man from Tarsus named Saul…
…Go, for this man is a chosen instrument of Mine
to carry My Name before Gentiles, kings and Israelites;
and I will show him what he will have to suffer for My Name.”

Ananias to Saul: “Saul, my brother, the Lord has sent me,
Jesus who appeared to you on the way by which you came,
that you may regain your sight
and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”

…Immediately things like scales fell from his eyes
and he regained his sight.

(Acts 9:5-18)

What has Our Lord in His Lessons said on about Conversion?

“My people have difficulty at first because they think that their walk with Me will be as they have it mapped out in their minds. Then they come to know their true Jesus…. They will rejoice after their journey of conversion because I have taken them through the fog and mud; and they will understand that this is conversion! It is like a dandelion….” (JOM, Vol II, #25, 12-10-89, Conversion)

I AM Your Jesus of Mercy:
CONVERSION
December 10, 1989...

Conversion is the heart of the Christian experience. Conversion is best described in the New Testament in the Letters of St. Paul, and with good reason - no one experiences a more dramatic conversion than St. Paul on the road to Damascus:

Conversion...

Litany to St. Paul the Apostle...

St. Paul’s Conversion - by Pope Benedict XVI, Sept. 3, 2008:

“The dazzling radiance of the Risen Christ blinds him; thus what was his inner reality is also outwardly apparent, his blindness to the truth, to the light that is Christ….St. Paul was not transformed by a thought but by an event, by the irresistible presence of the Risen One whom subsequently he would never be able to doubt, so powerful had been the evidence of the event, of this encounter….” (General Audience, Pope Benedict XVI, September 3, 2008)

Benedict XVI General Audience September 3, 2008...

What has Our Lady of Emmitsburg said on the feast of St. Paul's Conversion?

“…Be aware of what constitutes true friendship. Look to choose friends of virtue…. Seek those who live a life of solid prayer and those whose tongues fall silent to evil speech and indecent gossip…. Measure friendship with prudence by looking for the virtues of solid prayer. You will find that the fruits of solid prayer have no special regard for any person in particular. All are friends to that person. A person of prayer grows in practical goodness and the warmth of his love reaches out to all people—friend, enemy or stranger….” (OLOE Public 01-25-96)

Our Lady of Emmitsburg January 25, 1996...

“Rejoice that you belong to God, and never let go of that treasure. Guard it well, and you will be called ‘chosen’. For your ‘fiat’ and unconditional surrendering will gain you the knowledge and the wisdom to live continuously in His Most Divine Will through His Grace.” (OLOE Private 01-25-06)

Our Lady of Emmitsburg January 25, 2006...

Feast of Sts. Timothy and Titus - January 26

“O Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you.
Avoid profane babbling and the absurdities of so–called knowledge.
By professing it, some people have deviated from the faith.”

(1 Tim 6:20)

It seems that some very human weaknesses, those of jealousy, envy and spiritual pride, have contributed to the failure of dissemination to the world of many of the heavenly gifts that have been given through many of God’s messengers and seers. These weaknesses have expressed themselves among clergy, religious and laity. Our Lord in His Lessons spoke about jealousy and envy on this Feast of Sts. Timothy and Titus in January 1989:

"…Jealousy is pure hatred for one another! Envy is the path towards jealousy, which hardens your heart…. It is envy which is the destructive poison. It leads to hardened hearts, jealous and a merciless people.”

I AM Your Jesus of Mercy:
JEALOSY
January 26, 1989...

“…Envy closes My people’s hearts! It is envy which destroys your life. It is Love which gives you Life. I your Lord am Life, for I am Love! Focus on Me. Center your life on Me, and envy will be destroyed…. Allow envy to flow out of your lives, and Love to flow into your lives….”

I AM Your Jesus of Mercy:
ENVY
January 24, 1989...

What has Our Lady of Emmitsburg said on the feast of St. Paul's disciples?

“…I have tried to teach you and guide you in the ways of My Son, pleading that you would not seek ways of power and worldly goals, but that which is Divine. Many continue to take lightly my requests…. Please take seriously my words. Your eternal life depends on your heart’s desire…. Remember, my little ones, Jesus is Mercy; but if you will not accept His Mercy, He will have no choice than to be a God of Justice….” (OLOE Public 01-26-94)

Private Revelations 12:1

In September, 2005, a private ministry, Fear Not, Inc., committed to spreading Our Lady’s Plan to the world was formed by Nikki and Alan Todd in Mahanoy, Pennsylvania. Their first publication was a newspaper edition entitled Private Revelation 12:1, referring to the scriptural passage, “A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.” (Rev. 12:1). They have subsequently published many tools of evangelization, most recently the monthly booklet, Immaculate Heart and Soul. They are also the sponsors of the monthly First Sunday Worldwide Prayer Group in honor of Our Lady of Emmitsburg, and select a previous message to ponder and discuss with your local groups.

Prayer to Save America

During these critical times in U.S. history as well as in salvation history, the Foundation will be including this prayer on all enewsletters.

O merciful God, we cry to Thee for pardon and for mercy.
We are an unbelieving and perverse generation.
We are disobedient, disloyal and ungrateful to Thee.
We have excluded Thee from our homes, our schools, our places of business.
We are no longer worthy to be called Thy children.
Merciful Father, spare America!
Forgive us!
Save us from the scourge we deserve.
Teach us Thy law, and move our wills to serve Thee today and everyday.
Merciful God, please spare America!
O Immaculate Heart of Mary,
Pray for us!
