The Month Dedicated
to
the Holy Name of Jesus

“...How blessed His Name! All peoples in all nations can see the Face of God and adore Him. Strive to be meek and humble of heart, and then you shall meet Jesus in the faces of your peers and many other peoples of all nations…. I pray that you will have my eyes to adore my Son, and my Heart to love Him as I love Him, and my humility to follow Him at all costs. Be strong and filled with faith, for my adorable Son is yours…. I bless you in His most glorious, omnipotent and adorable Name - a Name to which all shall bow on bended knee….” (Our Lady of Emmitsburg, Private 01-04-09)

Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary Pray for Us!

54-Day Novena Rosary Novena for the USA

Nov.28, 2016 through Inauguration Day, Jan. 20, 2017

First the election and now for our protection!

54-Day Novena Rosary Novena for the USA...

Post-Election Prayer for the USA

Yes, the election is over, and the prayers of many were heard and answered by Our Lord and Our Lady, but is the war over? Most certainly not! A battle may have been won, but the war between good and evil will now intensify, and so too must our prayer intensify! Please join us daily in this prayer until the full victory is achieved:

Lord, please give us the strength to go forth from this day of victory for the pro-life cause, as the division in our country is very obvious to us now. We praise you Lord, and thank you for the many blessings and mercy you have allowed during this Year of Mercy. As it comes to a close, we ask you for continued protection of the innocent, conversion of the lost sheep, and courage and bravery to confront the evil one's attacks, as he uses spiritually blind people to instigate death and destruction upon our citizens, our property, homes, and businesses. Please guide each of us to know Your Will, and to do Your Will to the best of our abilities. Lord, grant us the gifts of wisdom, knowledge, understanding and discernment, so that we may see clearly. We praise You Lord God, for You are our Creator, our Saviour, our Sanctifier. We love You Lord Jesus and beg You to be patient with our weaknesses, and to grant protection against the snares of the evil one. Please cover Your people with Your Precious Blood. We ask this through the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother Mary and St. Joseph...as well as all the Holy Angels and Saints with You in Heaven.

Immaculate Heart of Mary cover us with your mantle of protection....St Michael the Archangel defend us in this day of battle. Amen!

2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time - Jan 15, 2017

In today’s Gospel we hear John the Baptist describing his understanding of his own mission and that of the One who is to follow, one human and one Divine, but both fueled by the Spirit of God:

John the Baptist said:
“…A Man is coming after me who ranks ahead of me because He existed before me. I did not know Him, but the reason why I came baptizing with water was that He might be made known…. I saw the Spirit come down like a dove from heaven and remain upon Him….”
(John 1:30-32)

It is that same Spirit who dwells within every soul / each created with a mission, a purpose, and who is invited to consecrate and to entrust oneself to God, to contemplate His Love, to absorb and to dive into that Divine Love. Let us ponder the Lessons of Our Lord Jesus Christ and the Messages from Our Lady of Emmitsburg as they relate to the work of the Holy Spirit in us and the power of God’s Love:

Martin Luther King Day - January 16, 2017

Certainly, the Reverend Martin Luther King is one of our nation’s champions for civil rights and the rights of all the “children of God.” He was a witness to the abuse of one of the darkest times in the history of the United States of America; and he was not afraid to take a risk! It seems fitting that on this day, January16, 1990, 27 years ago, Our Lord Jesus Christ gave the world a Lesson about abuse:

…Abuse is sacrilegious! Verbal, mental and physical abuse of the young, the old and the children are horrifying in the Eyes of God. My Father abhors those who do not love; for those who do not walk in love, walk in darkness and death.

Make this known, child. Every person who abuses and batters anyone, elderly or young, shall pay the price marked in the Eyes of My Father until every cent worth of abuse is exchanged into the equivalence of Love---not in the eyes of man, but in the Eyes of My Father!”
(JOM, Vol, II, #38, Jan. 16, 1990)

Feast of St. Anthony, the Abbott - January 17

4th century Egyptian Christian and hermit (+356)

Brief biography and details of his battles with demons….

PRAYER TO ST ANTHONY THE ABBOT

Dear God, St. Anthony the Abbot accepted your call to renounce the world and to love you above all things. He faithfully served you in the solitude of the desert by fasting, prayer, humility and good works. In the Sign of The Cross, he triumphed over the Devil. Through his intercession, may we learn to love you better; with all our hearts, all our souls, all our minds, all our strength and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. St. Anthony the Abbot, great and powerful saint, grant us also this special request [...]. We ask this through our lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with God the Father and the Holy Spirit. One God forever and ever, Amen.

What has Our Lady of Emmitsburg said on this feast of beloved St. Anthony, the Abbot?

“…Where I am, there must also be confusion. This is what true persecution entails, and it also validates the authenticity of my presence. It is not who is right or who is wrong that is most important, but rather that all of this will unfold for the greater glory of God so all will see where the Truth lies….” (OLOE Private 01-17-07)

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity – Jan. 18-25, 2017

Prayer for Christian Unity

Gracious God, may your Holy Spirit fill our communities with joy and celebration, so that we can cherish the unity we already share, and zealously continue in the search for visible unity. We rejoice in the faith and hope of peoples who refuse to allow their dignity to be diminished, seeing in them your wonderful grace and your promise of freedom. Teach us to share in their joy and learn from their faithful endurance. Rekindle our hope and sustain our resolve, that in Christ‘s Name we may walk together in love, raising a united voice of praise, and singing together one prayer of adoration. God of life, lead us to justice and peace. Amen.

Biblical Text for the 2017 Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

The Biblical Text: 2 Corinthians 5:14-20

This biblical text emphasizes that reconciliation is a gift from God, intended for the entire creation. “God was reconciling the world (kosmos) to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation” (v.19). As a result of God´s action, the person who has been reconciled in Christ is called in turn to proclaim this reconciliation in word and deed: “The love of Christ compels us” (v.14). “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God” (v.20). The text stresses that this reconciliation is not without sacrifice. Jesus gives his life; he died for all. The ambassadors of reconciliation are called, in his name, to give their lives similarly. They no longer live for themselves; they live for him who died for them.

Rosary for Life: The Luminous Mysteries

During this week as we approach the day of the National Right to Life March, January 22 in Washington, DC, consider praying these mysteries of the Rosary for Life. Pope John Paul II has given us two great gifts: the Mysteries of Light as part of the Holy Rosary, and the Gospel of Life in his great encyclical Evangelium Vitae. The following meditations on the Mysteries of Light are offered as a prayer for all life, from conception to natural death.

Am I a Roman Catholic?

If asked on an application or on a hospital admission form, “Religion,” what does it require for me to honestly answer that question, “Catholic”? Fr. Michael Miller, President of University of St. Thomas in a 2003 homily answered an important part of that question as it regards to Life:

Private Revelations 12:1

In September, 2005, a private ministry, Fear Not, Inc., committed to spreading Our Lady’s Plan to the world was formed by Nikki and Alan Todd in Mahanoy, Pennsylvania. Their first publication was a newspaper edition entitled Private Revelation 12:1, referring to the scriptural passage, “A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.” (Rev. 12:1). They have subsequently published many tools of evangelization, most recently the monthly booklet, Immaculate Heart and Soul. They are also the sponsors of the monthly First Sunday Worldwide Prayer Group in honor of Our Lady of Emmitsburg, and select a previous message to ponder and discuss with your local groups.

Prayer to Save America

During these critical times in U.S. history as well as in salvation history, the Foundation will be including this prayer on all enewsletters.

O merciful God, we cry to Thee for pardon and for mercy.
We are an unbelieving and perverse generation.
We are disobedient, disloyal and ungrateful to Thee.
We have excluded Thee from our homes, our schools, our places of business.
We are no longer worthy to be called Thy children.
Merciful Father, spare America!
Forgive us!
Save us from the scourge we deserve.
Teach us Thy law, and move our wills to serve Thee today and everyday.
Merciful God, please spare America!
O Immaculate Heart of Mary,
Pray for us!
