Over the last two years, the The Foundation of the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary has sponsored a monthly Marian Prayer Service at the Lynfield Event Complex (Directions) outside of Emmitsburg, Maryland. It is often attended by 500-700 of the faithful. It is open to all. All are welcome!

The Prayer Service consists of several spiritual hymns, an opening reflection, the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a spiritual communion, the Rosary during which Our Lady appears publicly to Gianna Sullivan and gives the monthly message for the world that all present can hear, the Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, the Divine Praises, and closing announcements. The entire event takes nearly 2 hours. (The Holy Scrifice of the Mass and the Sacrament of Reconciliation are not included).

Our Lady of Emmitsburg has referred to this area since 1995 as the “Center of her Immaculate Heart.” It is obvious that most people in this country and around the world cannot physically (at least on a regular basis) be present at the prayer Service; however, through the holy use of internet technology, the Center of her Immaculate Heart can now be extended into the homes, cenacles and prayer Services of many throughout the world.

Since September, 2007, and in the future on a regularly posted delay after each Monthly Marian Prayer Service, an edited, delayed 30-minute version of each month’s prayer service (including Our Lady’s apparition to Gianna and the Public Message for the world) will be available on the internet within 2-3 days of the live prayer service and apparition.  It will include opening and closing hymns, any opening reflection, and two mysteries of that day’s Rosary (including the apparition).  This will remain on the website for the month, and then be archived on the website.        

It is hope that this format may serve as not just a demonstration of a supernatural phenomenon, but as a fruitful addition to many family prayer sessions, Marian cenacles or prayer services throughout the world each month, allowing those participating to pause the video when appropriate to include the all the mysteries of the Rosary and any other private prayers and/or devotions that the faithful might be already using.

In this way, this beautiful gift of Our Lady can be shared by all her children throughout the entire world!
